The original post was about jerking it so much that you don't have the motivation to go out and get laid. I completely agree with that article. Sex energy is very powerful...whether it's getting laid or getting money.
I know MMA fighters that won't have sex while they train for a fight. That's an extreme example (and I'm not sure if I completely agree with it) but they swear it makes them train harder.
Hi Chris, thanks for the POP to the back of the head. Lulz
I just woke up a few minutes ago and all I seem to have paid attention to was that he was not going let himself release until his next hook-up and I ran with it.
I played Professional Tour golf for a few years and the subject of sex the night before rounds or even during the four day event came up more regularly than one might imagine. It was about evenly split on whether you should or not as far as sports performance goes.
Both the Pro football and baseball players I knew did seem to lean towards the no sexual release directly prior and during an event. Yet the Pro basketball players I knew seemed feel that sexual release actually made them play better.
So, I can't really answer. I can only relate that in one event I hooked up with a sexual freak and she was in town for the first two days of the event. It wasn't so much that I released, but that my thighs were over exerted and would start shaking while addressing the ball that created a problem for me. I was fine for the last two days after just making the cut on the line.
I'm not sure what article you & the OP are referring to, but I have read quite a few on the subject and it would seem that they too are split on the subject.
Some of the key points in things that I have read on both sides of the argument are:
1.) Sexual release can be calming for someone who experience too much pressure/anxiety during their sport.
2.) Sexual release releases endorphins which are natural pain killers which can help numb aches and pains naturally during the sport's activity.
3.) Sexual activities can take the mind off the next days performance and therefore have it fresh for the activity.
4.) Over exertion of sexual activity can over work the muscles and they may not recovered completely prior to the performance.
5.) Withholding sexual release can increase testosterone levels which can heighten the competitive mind and muscular contraction during the activity.
6.) Withholding sexual release can increase aggression in male athletes which can enhance performance.
7.) Withholding sexual release until a competitive goal is reached can be a powerful motivator to get it accomplished.
8.) Not allowing sexual release during training can raise the testosterone levels in males to help with muscular growth and to shorten recovery times.
Just some highlights of what I remember from the articles that I have read over the years.
I agree 100% with you Chris, sexual drive is very powerful and should be able to be harnessed to achieve goals, whether they be pleasure or otherwise. (Women figured this out Looong ago!! Lulz)
P.S. 3 or 4 orgasms in a short period of time around bedtime are the best sleep aid that I have ever found. lol
