So my motherboard on my laptop died on me. I called Lenovo late on Sunday night and told them the problem, they shipped out a next day air box to me which I got back on Tuesday. I sent the box out Wednesday. They got it Thursday, fixed the laptop, and sent it back to me all on the same day. I just got the laptop back today. Mad good response time if you ask me.

Also, their customer service rep was based in Atlanta, Georgia and spoke english perfectly. Props to Lenovo for doing an awesome good.

Nice. Always been a fan of Thinkpads. I was unsure about IBM selling the division to Lenovo, but I have heard nothing but good things about the company, and that the quality of the computers has been maintained.

Lenovo seems to be doing a fab job. I remember a few years ago they could not keep up to the standard. Now they seem to be outperforming themselves. Well, id like to see Lenovo do a lot more. I have my hopes on them. Lets cross our fingers they do not disappoint.

Just bought a Thinkpad T400s to replace a Dell Latitude D830 that got stolen. Highest build quality of any laptop I've ever used. Very portable as well for such a powerful machine. Very happy, and I thought the Dell Latitude had a good build quality.

After having a piece of fucking shit experience with Fujitsu over my tablet, which is now at day 5 and still in the authorized service shop getting an estimate on it, I can safely say I will be selling that tablet when I get it back and buying a Lenovo.

Thanks for your timely recommendation.

I own a Lenovo G530 I believe, bought it for university and lovvviiing it. Best deal for XP Pro/Vista Business, Core2Duo, 3Gb - $600 after tax beat that !

I am a huge Lenovo fan. They have been the OEM for IBM Thinkpads for quite some time really. They did the same thing with their printer division way back when they sold it to Lexmark. So I was not too worried about the sell off.

I have a X61 sitting right beside me. I just ordered a W700 for a client though. He wanted the Quad core processor. Well the laptop is HUGE. Has a 170 watt power supply that just trips the fuse on the dc sockets on the long international flights he takes. It is super fast, and it is obviously designed for graphic designers to take with them and work remotely. A few issues to get worked out with it, but it has some potential.

I just had to call their customer service as well for another Y510 laptop for a client of mine. I got the box back and can't wait to get the laptop back. Makes me feel good about getting it back quickly at least.

I actually have a lenovo desktop and I love it. Luckily I haven't had any hardware issues yet, but I'm glad to here the positive feedback.

In regards to the hardware, I've had the laptop for over 2 years now and I treat it like a desktop, e.g. I leave it on all the time which probably lead to the demise of the fan/mobo.

I really like Thinkpads except for the location of the Fn key. I had one at my old job and I accidentally hit the Fn key every damn time that I wanted to press Ctrl.

I have a S10 that I use for 7-10 hours every single day. Never had a single problem with it... In fact, it's my favorite laptop ever.
Cant imagine using something that small for such a long time. Don't your fingers/eyes start to hurt?

Glad to hear Lenovo is doing it right -- that's just about as important as the actual machine sometimes.

TLott -- you should handle a Panasonic Toughbook Y-series, they are sick. They have a lot of stuff that on paper is hard to appreciate but it makes an impact in person; really nice looking LCDs, almost the whole thing is metal and put together with screws, no snapping/clipping anything -- very durable and servicable.

I used to be a Dell hater but my girlfriend totally mistreats her technology and her Latitude 6100 has been very resilient for several years.

Just ordered the same laptop 2 days ago. I've used Thinkpad's for years. Can't beat them for business.

Sweet! Just realized they upgraded my graphics card from the 128MB NVIDIA Quadra NVS 140M to the 256MB NVIDIA Quadro FX 570M!

Lenovo FTW!
