Lord Monckton Owns GreenPeace Drone

I've heard that cows produce more greenhouse gases than anything else, so I'm currently eating as much steak as I can to try and get rid of them all.

some brit with bad toofuses...

socialist systems vastly exceed ours in the US...

I'll continue to make money...

Amazing - you just praised socialism, insulted the product of socialized medicine('bad toofuses' anyone?), and then bragged about doing the very thing that socialism discourages, i.e. making money - all in the same post.

Obviously there is some clear thinking going on here.

If man made global warming is a problem find alternatives to our power needs. Reduction will not work! Giving trillions to the UN will not work? Solar, wind and nuclear will not work in the short run. Find a real workable solution and THE WORLD will listen.

Admittedly, not a short term solution, but definitely workable over a two decade period, which is the same amount of time it'd take to do a decent job of replacing oil and coal fired power plants anyway.

Total win.

The fact that you assume people who don't agree with you are only regurgitating someone's ideas is a fucked way to go on in life.
I hate to be a douchebag, but he obviously assumed correctly. If you suddenly woke up and thought "Oh, temperature changes today must be caused industrial pollution." I stand corrected. But I don't think you did.

You didnt just wake up and decide to respond to this thread. You act like your own thoughts and actions are without causation. There's a difference between blindly agreeing with something or weighing its merits and agreeing with it. I really don't understand why you posted this if all you wanted to do was berate people who disagree with you. Sorry it wasn't the circle jerk you were looking for.

My mind's on my money and my money's on my mind.

Have fun burning 4 hours a day watching/reading FoxNews and listening to Rush/Beck. The only political climate that I really care about affects what I sell. With one of your conservative idiots in power it's rebills of do it yourself at home abortion kits via fake articles, with Pelosi in office it's free trial ebook "kits" on building redneck shelters and converting guns to fully automatic. (guesswhat- if I as an American don't want to set foot in the hellblazer hellhole of <insult src="/flyoverstates.us">, believe me the "ragheads" won't be invading the shithole that is Toledo either).

You know what I'm still concerned about throughout? My money. I do vote democratic however and am perfectly willing to pay higher taxes so that the lower class and people who are less fortunate or run into medical problems don't suffer death or total ruin, in fact treating them decently is a high priority, the world needs plumbers/landscapers/teachers/etc too.

And the fact that I live in Coastal Southern California and off the north west end of my property have a beautiful view that is only truly spectacular after rains/winds due to smog is reason enough to look into better fuel alternatives.

I'm not still using windows NT because "it works okay"

<drops mic>

So lets start wiping our asses with leaves,go bankrupt as a nation, eat a once of greens a meal and bike everywhere we go. In the meantime China and India will laugh at us while they take over the world and continue to spew polutants like a damn chain smoker.

That's exactly what the leftists here want for us, they will still have their beach eroding houses in Malibu...oh but they do own a hybrid which they drive for publicity stunts on the way to the airport where they hop on their private planes.

Every democrat says this, but in reality 99% of them are bullshit. You're obviously one of them:

My mind's on my money and my money's on my mind.

You know what I'm still concerned about throughout? My money.

Fuck you, lying pos.

No you miss the point, you can sit here and argue politics or you can grind out ideas and profit.

I'm not going to sit and cry when Obama's proposed 35% moves to 39%, I"m just going to work harder, and steal marketshare from those who are now spending hours a day crying and attending tea parties.

LOL @ UnripeArbiter in this thread. He's responded 4 times in this post, once to himself...everyone else just ignored him.

Funny video though, fucking ignorance.

That ideology is fucked. People shouldn't *have* to work harder to make up for money that is being taken from them, on account of other "less fortunate" people. Most of those that are poor, rape the system enough as is.

I'm pretty sure nobody is going to sit and cry and leave their market share to be stolen by you because Obama raises taxes.

We'll be pissed though, and rightfully so. Fuck handouts. The government should spend the money creating more programs to actually get lazy assholes jobs, get them working, and get the economy moving. Shouldn't be spending money on more free shit.

I heard about my friend who I knew from a couple years back. He became an electrician (no college degree) and was making good money. He got laid off from his job and started collecting unemployment. It's been a year and a half since then, he's gotten many job offerings but has turned them all down and decided to just keep getting his unemployment extended. Even though he has been offered jobs, he can somehow get 8 week extensions and milk it for years. Just to be lazy and play video games all day.

Liberals can go fuck themselves.

Ok, I was gunna respond to Sonny, but I agree with him about focusing on work, so I didn't. But subsequent responses have brought me out.

This is based on a fallacy. You don't pay taxes to get Coca-Cola delivered, cool new movies like Avatar, or webmasters. The market economy can provide teachers. It can (and has) provided charity for those less fortunate. Paying taxes isn't a direct subsidy to people in need, it is a direct subsidy to politicians, who after they take their cut, and a cut for their bureaucracy, dole some out to the little people. Taxes have to be the least efficient form of charity. Just sayin.

Totally agree with you about getting the grind on.

A system which provides welfare, creates a market for welfare. People need jobs, not handouts. They need charity (which isn't bottomless or politicized) instead of food stamps.

We'll be pissed though, and rightfully so. Fuck handouts. The government should spend the money creating more programs to actually get lazy assholes jobs, get them working, and get the economy moving. Shouldn't be spending money on more free shit.
The best place for people to get jobs, is to leave the tax money in the hands of entrepreneurs as capital, who will scale their businesses, open new stores and plants, create new products and discover new markets.

Government will train people how to perform a career that is obsolete by the time they get out of the government program, taught by people who could not succeed in the private sector.

The less government does, as it is the least efficient portion of the economy, the better off everyone is.

I agree with that. I was just bringing it up as an alternative to the healthcare bill. INSTEAD of just burning more taxpayer dollars on handouts (which is the plan to continue), at least attempt to do something "fair" with our tax dollars.

I would much rather pay $200 to buy someone a new suit to go to a job interview than just pay $200 so they can go to the doctors.

and yet you say that being young and, (I'm ASSUMING) never having suffered any serious medical condition that you had to take care of on your own post 18.

If so you sing a different tune.

I've watched my mother die from breast cancer and my stepmother battle it, my parents aren't poor. The financial strains are insane and would bankrupt many 'ballers' on here who are probably sitting paying $200/month for catastrophic coverage and gambling with their health in the process.

<i'll get back in my Prius now>

Dude, hate to break it to you but when you ever make some real money, taxes are what pinch you the MOST.

I am super liberal when it comes to personal choices (including religion and all other stuff - and yes, I associate republicans with churchfags) but NOT when it comes to my money. There is no fuckin' way that I am working my ass off 14 hours a day to give it all away in taxes to subsidize the good for nothing scum to go on being more lazy and increase the crime (you know like Rape, Drugs etc. etc.) because they know that they can just live on MY tax money.

DO you have any idea that how much it hurts when you cut a cheque of 33% of your income to the tax man?

would hurt a lot less than 35%, so yes

Most logical people would agree that health care reform is sorely needed. However, the solution is increased competition, not taxes. Competition comes about by deregulation and elimination of monopolies. This is a good solution.

If you have more time, here is another interesting take...

How American Health Care Killed My Father - The Atlantic (September 2009)

The author, David Goldhill, asks several provocative questions that would make our Overlords squirm if the populace were to demand answers. As a side note, I believe Goldhill loses his nerve in proposing solutions toward the end of the article. It's still an engaging read.
