My T.V. is F'd up..looking to get 50" LCD

Samsung knows anything with a monitor. I wouldn't trust any other companies. I'm rocking 3 samsung lcds and love then!

ive been a long time fan of Samsung and i have done a lot of research with televisions over the years. Every TV in my house is Samsung.

Oh, and the 120 over 60... you will tell the difference. They even have some right now that are 240, I wouldnt recommend those, but I would pick up a 120 Samsung for sure.

Dont do plasma, get a LCD or LED only.

I'd like a new LED TV...but LEDs by nature go dim over time....have they addressed this issue with the LED TVs? I would suppose so, but haven't heard anything.

My brother just picked up a Samsung PLASMA, that is just about as thin as the LED TVs....super thin design...I really like it.

Why would you say no to Plasma? I've got 2 Plasmas (42 & 50), and a 42 inch LCD...I prefer the plasma myself.

I'm seriously thinking about this 46" Samsung. Samsung LN46B640 - Compare prices, reviews, user opinions - Shopper.com

$1199 at BestBuy. I don't think I'll go plasma again. They just don't seem as crisp and bright as equal quality LCD's. That Samsung model has great reviews. I think I'd rather get a smaller screen size and get an Samsung than go bigger with another brand.
I believe this model at Sams Club for $1,098.00 is the virtually the same model only it has a matte finish on the screen while the one at Best Buy has the glossy screen. If the room it's going to be in has serveral light sources, windows, etc. get the matte finish. The glossy just reflects too much light.

I actually heard a rumor too, that Apple been using Samsung for years when it comes to their higher end LCD panels parts.

They've been using LG for years for the majority of their panels and signed a 5 year contract earlier this year and sent them a half billion dollar down payment. They also have a development investment deal with Samsung, but as far as I know, Samsung has never provided them with LCD panels.

Thanks for the link. I would actually prefer the matte finish screen. That might be a winner there.

Those bars on the screen are pretty easy to fix if you have a wiffle ball bat.

I'd say OLED > LED LCD > LCD > Plasma
But OLEDs are fairly new and I don think you can get a 50' yet
