I disagree. He's not a dumb guy. He's obviously made a mistake by doing so, and in the process compromised his trust and respect with a lot of people. If you do want to remain anonymous online then you should check out Tor which is a free open source project that bounces you of different nodes around the world (like in the movies). Speeds vary but chances are if you are using this then there is maybe a total of 5 people in the entire world who could know who you are.
