I feel more like this guy i was reading about in my book. He started a business selling items with logos of bands like ACDC and shit. Then people in asia came in and used cheap labor along with not having the rights to use the logo's and copy him.

To make a long story short he ended up doing the same as them. The only problem is at the fasted it take a month for a website to get fully index. I thought link broking was the shit, i have friends who make a few thousand a month.

I have a few ideas

-2 For 1 Sales
-Specials
-Use Other forums But DP and SP are the only forum with alot of members who buy loads of links
-Niche
-Spam More Messages
-Offer Higher Quality Links

Yeah, most of them sell links on dropped domains.. It's only PR4 for 3 months and then it goes to the "do not renew" bin.

What I don't get is the following:

You complain about Indian's, who write in broken English, stealing your work. I assume this implies that you think you write well. You just wrote "im pissed i keep losing money" and in the OP, you used "to" where "too" was supposed to go. This is elementary stuff.

Now I know you're going to defend yourself by saying it's because this is casual conversation or forum talk or whatever, but to me, it's the equivalent of an ugly, poorly kept person complaining about other people stealing all their modeling jobs. Or how about a designer with a MS Paint designed banner in their signature complaining that Indians are stealing all their design jobs.

No one wants to pay your shitty prices because you can't write for shit.

Before i try to read through you stupidass trolling let me start out by saying this. Anybody who losses work, or money isnt going to be happy.

I choosed internet marketing because of how cut throat, and hard it is. I excelled in my business classes back in highschool. I won number 1 marketing managment for my area in DECA a business program.

Im fucking pissed thanks to cheap ass moves to steal my money. I bet if i posted shit on your WTS post you wouldnt be happy. For instance

Last month i was close to selling a year long link for 200$. Me this guy talked for 3 days Pm each other about my blog. Then all the sudden he says some guy gave him year long for 50$.

I thought how, well the dude who i was talking to had posted a responds to my WTS post. And the indian dude fucked me over.

I was so pissed i couldnt see straight. So no i have good reason to be pissed off.

That's how the game is played. Deal with it. Don't be a pussy if you can't compete. And you have it backwards. You jumped into a market full of Indian service providers to compete against them. It's not like you were doing well and then they showed up. You should have researched the labor pool for these types of services and devised a better strategy. No one has sympathy for your complaints. Clearly.

And spell check? You don't even speak proper English, so spell check isn't going to help you. You "choosed" Internet Marketing? Okay.

Entitlement? Im poor (right now). I dont take handouts i refuse them. You will never meet a person more against welfare then me. I have been poor my whole life. Shit when the economy was good back in 2006 my parents foclosed on our home. Not that im complaining but i have never been spoiled. Its been paying bills week by week.

That said i have competed in the past in business with fuckers stealing my ideas. When i was a kid i would go into a local golf club and pick up golf balls then resell them. All the sudden everybody coppied me, then i started selling drinks and, food. Then i was coppied again. Then i started doing golf ball washing and they stole it again.

Everybody always copies me because they are unoriginal douchebags. For instance im doing 2 for 1 sales, and first to buy a link on my blog gets 50% off. How much would you like to bet in the next few weeks these indians start doing it?

The moral of the story is i need to figure out a way to protect myself from this. But thanks to my Itrader growing each week i can use that for leverage. I spent last night brainstroming new ideas, i have a few ideas but nothing that will shake up the game like my special deals i have.

My friend is making thousands each month selling links. He has a big portfolio of websites, along with a long client list. I have a a few clients but they dont pay well.

These indians a few months ago were not selling links as cheap as they are now. I sold 5 links/blogpost my first week at 30-35$. So when i jumped in i thought there was a ton of room for me? I guess not. There is about i would say 1k-5k daily spent on links on DP. So that means each week 7k-35k is spent or so a week.

I make about 50-100 a week. So that means i could have up to 1% of the market share. So to make a decent income i would need to have about 5% of the market. To do that i would need to get my blogs index quicker.

If i can make 250$-500$ a week i will be happy. But to do that i need more blogs. But i belive google is taking longer to index thanks to spammers. So the end result is time, which is my most precious asset right now.

So i need to

-Build bigger client list
-Build Bigger portfolio
-Index fully faster
-Get My Fucking ass into gear even more.

So i guess like the 1995 seattle mariners i have to "Refuse to lose"
 
Or find a better place to sell your services? There are PLENTY of places to sell professional services outside of online marketing forums.

DP aside, if someone posts your rates on your thread and comments on them, the next step shouldn't be to get pissed and rant about it after losing the sale - it's to defend your rates in the same place they were criticized and justify those rates with your target market in mind based on what you can offer.

As someone whose rates are questioned frequently, I'd encourage you to take the more professional stance by ramping up your marketing and selling your links or articles based on more than a special or low price.

You much have set your rates based on something. If you just randomly picked them based on what you thought the market would bear, you'll have a hard time convincing anyone to pay them. If you picked them based on real criteria, you should be more focused on selling that level of service or the lasting quality than just on running specials or having low prices.

There's also the very real possibility that DP isn't the right market for what you're selling. The first few steps of selling something effectively are to understand your product and understand your market. If you're struggling with pricing your product and selling it effectively in your chosen market, you might look at those two areas before getting huffy on the competition, who - as others have pointed out - were there first.
