Search Google for Acai Berry. The #2 result is a go article. Click on it. See what happens! The dude was running a two step rebill Acai + colon cleanse and was probably banking on the 1,830,000 Monthly Google Searches. Sad Day.
 


Not saying it would be cool of them to delete his shit and steal that traffic...

But not having some berry ads on the current page, and some new content isn't real smart either.

Sucks to be him. Hope he didn't keep all of his eggs in one basket.
 
The guy with the ezinearticle has a measly 32 backlinks to his article for #2 on google -- good shit

Goarticles can be dicks. Im a goarticles expert content writter and i have to say that have done some shit to me that fucked me up. Anyways im not suprised. All is fair in love and war. But this dude should take the money he made and put it into silver and gold.

That said starting your own article directory can be a smart idea.

Yeah I had noticed this. I couldn't believe the guy ranked 1 or 2 for 'acai berry' with a goarticle. I guess xrumer is his friend. But yeah it must have hurt when goarticles pulled his shit.
 
I don't get that article shit. In one of my niches the # 1 result is an Ezinearticle with ZERO backlinks. WTF? The article has over 300k views and it's been ranked #1 for like 2 years now.

It's called authority. You get a site Like Ezine or GoArticles where people are constantly submitting keyword rich content minute after minute, and one of them is going to get the benefit of authority and rank, then bank.
 
I can tell you with certainty that it was well worthwhile. I sat at #2-7 organically for the top four or five acai terms from about mid 08 - mid 09.

In fact when google made the change around mid 09 that (or maybe the ezine one) is the article that bumped me. Haha.

Interesting. Did you ever talk with your competitors? Like friendly trash talk? Or worse? I think it'd be funny to e-mail them from a yahoo address and be like "Gotcha this week" after bumping over them.
