They were 150km away(international waters) from Gaza when Israel shot them up.

Official numbers are at least 16 dead/50+ wounded. The 20 number was apparently sent out by some reporters on the ship using wi-fi.

Apparently the main ship that was shot up was a Turkish ship, and they promised a strong response to the attack.

Seems like the u.s. based news is like 2 hours behind, still reporting only 2 dead. A few are a little better, only reporting 10 dead. Figure by tomorrow morning, they'll catch up

I think that..

If you look at the footage on Sky.

When the Israel army boarded the vessel the activist attacked the Israelis with iron bars..now if somebody was hitting me at close range with an iron bar i know how i would react.

I dont think Israel was expecting the crazy response from the ship members on board...now Palestine leaders are now screaming for people to cause chaos all over the work outside all the embassy's.

Yes..of which they have started already...2 wrongs do not make a right!

Only my thoughts as there is always 2 sides to a story!!!

if the activists were planning to attack israelis, they'd have had some AK47s on board. Someone attacking with iron bars, sounds like improvised defense weapons...maybe in response to seeing people around you being shot.

Noone attacks a guy with a gun with an iron bar.

Either way, israel has no jurisdication in international waters, the attack was a violation of international law.

You don't shoot up 20 people in self defense.

Yeah, let's speculate our asses off.

Always makes for awesome steaming piles of shit.

OH MY GOD! A GUY HOLDING A GUN!

What, exactly, is this photo supposed to show?

This "humanitarian" mission was 100% about getting into a conflict with the Israelis. There were 700 people on the boat. It wasn't just a small yacht that could easily be controlled.

Since you're apparently an expert on "International Law", what treaties and agreements were they specifically in violation of when they seized this ship? And did Israel sign on to these treaties that you seem to know so much about? They're not exactly known for their pursuit of binding legal agreements.

There's no doubt that Turkey, the main sponsor of the flotilla, was hoping for a political coup here, given recent difficulties between the countries. But this was a very disproportionate over-response from Israel. Stupid.

These people are as dumb as the Palestinian kids who throw stones at a tank and then whine to the cameras after their pals eat a .50

How would you respond if your country was occupied?
The tards attacked Israel with a bunch of equally retarded frenemies 60 years ago, and to this day haven't stopped crying about the drubbing they got.

Gaza flotilla ships transported to Ashdod - Israel News, Ynetnews

This was not a humanitarian sail, but a violent provocation directed against us," said Israel Defense Forces Spokesperson Avi Benayahu. "We were attacked with clubs and long knives."

According to an initial military report, more than 10 activists who took part in the sail were killed and several were injured.
The IDF reported that six Navy fighters were injured, one of them sustaining serious wounds.

"In the largest boat, called 'Marmara', there are 570 people. The fighters, who arrived with ladders and came down from ropes, encountered what they described as a near lynch.

"There was serious violence, cols arms, knives, we have a stabbed soldier, clubs. You can see that every soldier that came down was attacked. This is not the activity of peace activists."

God, I just made the mistake of going to reddit, there are like 20 headlines all over reddit about this stupid shit.

What's the total number of deaths? Like 5? God, STFU.

"humanitarian sail" = boat full of retards trying to bust thru a fucking military blockade. Then everyone acts supprised and outraged when they get shot at. Fucking stupid. I'm so sick of hearing about Israel on reddit I don't even go anymore.

I'm not sure what my favorite reddit wars are:

israel vs [insert muslim country here]
circumcised vs uncircumcised
mac vs apple
and now adobe vs apple

One of my favorite things to do on reddit is troll /gonewild/ and watch the pathetic dipshit userbase drool over naked & over-weight chicks and tell them how beautiful they are.

Fucking reddit man, really gone to shit the past couple years. It's like the DP of social news now.
