I hope the owner of Wikileaks is happy, he will now be directly responsible for probably 50 or so murders as a result of his do-gooder bullshit.

Someone is going to find this wikileaks guy and murder him. CIA, Mossad, Pakistan's Secret Service, someone is going to find this douchebag and split his fucking head open and I can't say I blame them.

I mean what the fuck was he thinking? And the dipshit marine who gave the 90k docs over to wikileaks should be hung, literally. He's an absolute trader regardless of how you feel about the war, which most of us probably agree the wars are BS and need to stop now...you just don't go release 90k classified documents. Fucking dumb.
 


If Wikileaks was just releasing things like the famous video of civilians in the van being shot to stir up some dialogue, I would think it's fine. But outing informants? That's reckless endangerment of people's lives. What a piece of shit.

A lot of people are pissed at Adrian Lamo for turning in Bradley Manning, who is now in military prison and in deep shit. I was actually at the hacker conference in NYC where the whole conference was judging him for telling the government about Manning. I'm surprised that they have the names in all those docs because they said they had redacted anything sensitive to informants, etc, but 91,000 docs is ALOT. I'm also surprised thetimes.co.uk has the story, I didn't pay the $2 to read it, maybe I will later.

I thought they had supposedly removed anything sensitive to informants FFS. I would say their names, home 'towns' and relatives details are pretty fucking sensitive.

Seems the site is down at the moment, bit bloody late though.

WTF was he on about "all this stuff needs to be in the public domain". I blame left wing antiwar activism for brainwashing this kid.

Doubt it, he's not an American citizen so he probably won't get deported, he hasn't even been accused of any crime really. He is a colossal cunt rag though and deserves to get picked up by some government spook agency so that he "disappears" for good.

Not really, I never agreed with the wikileaks shit when it was about outing stupid shit Americans had done, but I didn't really care either.
But now he is gonna get a bunch of innocent Afghans killed who were just trying to help fight crazy extremists?

I mean, we shouldn't be there to begin with, but the guy is a fucking dipshit and deserves to be hung for what he's done, people are going to die because of this not to mention who knows what kind of national security secrets have been leaked. This is over the line now.
 
I'm just not understanding the problem here. Yeah, it is a huge moral responsibility to release information like this.

This seems to me to be a lot of misdirected moral outrage. No one cries for the Afghani kid whose mother has taken a bullet from a firefight between the good guys and bad guys (depending on which side you are on). Why cry from people who have chosen to participate in cloak and dagger games of life and death and accepted the risks by doing so?
