A Message For The "Occupy Wall Street" Lazy Bitches

"....is speaking of slaves and masters, and intends to be the master."

Thank you hellblazer for this gem

If you're "down and out" it's likely because you've made poor choices. As an American, nearly everyone I know expects a shitload of entitlements and safety nets--and each and every one of them makes stupid decisions on a daily basis.

Sorry, but if you're defaulting on your mortgage, it's YOUR fault for not planning ahead and making an informed decision. Nobody seriously complains that the house took all of their money at a Casino, but almost everyone I know whines about defaulting on their loans, having trouble supporting their family, etc.

I don't know if it's culture or society or anything else, but people are fucking spoiled idiots.

I actually completely agree with all those points but I don't think it's fair to assume any of that about any of the people doing the protests... sure, I imagine some of them are going to fall into that bucket but I bet alot of them do not.

I guess I see the protests more in the light of there's alot of fucked up things happening on Wall Street and corporate greed, lobbyists, the buying of political power, and deregulation in general effect 100% of the people with the controlling 1% getting bailed out while the other effected 99% getting shit on.

I haven't seen any demands for handouts, help, or free money in any regards... the demands I've seen revolve around changing the way money corrupts our political system and how the financial institutions are marching right back into the same risky behaviors that put us in recession. All this while our biggest companies pay less and less taxes, are seeing greater profits, and aren't putting are largest unemployed pool of workers since the depression back to work.

I get I'm in the minority on this thread... just saying that I don't think all those protesters are lazy hippies looking for a handout... undoubtedly there's a few hacky sac circles going on down there... but I think alot of em are genuinely hard working people who are just pissed off

I'm gonna be in NYC next week. I'll probably drop by to either:

a) take some pictures with a new lens I'll be buying
or
b) troll around a bit holding a sign like "I too hate working for a living." or some shit like that.

Not sure which one I'll do though considering that I've been arrested/cited/searched/harassed by cops in NYC more times than in all the other places I've been to combined.

Hellblazer has a good post, WF noobs whine about Helblazer
Right.

I have relatively fresh WF eyes. I see so many cracks about Hellblazer that I'm prepared to not take him seriously, like he's the WF Chuck Norris or something.

Lo and behold, his Ayn Rand quote fits and the vid he posted is an eye opener. Shame on me for being influenced by lame herd mentality.

Also I find it strange that this "movement" is somehow different from Tea Party protests. They essentially want the same thing. Both want corruption, lobbying out of government. Both want handouts, whether its (new)jobs or (keeping) medicare.

Yet here we are again, cutting each others throats while the fuckers truly in power laugh all the way to the bank.

The occupy wall street crowd doesn't quote ayn rand dude. big difference.

If that were the case then they would be hard at work on the grind, not pissing away their valuable time.

Are you saying that time spent as an activist away from productive endeavors to fight for things you believe in is wasted?

I don't know where you guys get the idea that protester people are farting around being lazy and asking for a handout. Many if not most of the protesters are recent college grads or students...since when was that considered being a failure?

This is common sense. Everyone should pay taxes. Billionaires and single moms with 10 kids,. And until everyone pays taxes, I will be pissed too.

Racking up $75,000 in debt for a humanities degree isn't exactly successful. Now they have no job and wonder why, and expect their student loans to just be written off. How is that not failure?

Those 2 statements have nothing to do which other. Were you trying to make a point?
