I'll never understand why people not only download 'skittles', but burn it to CDs and DVDs.

It's easy enough to wipe a hard drive, but even if you physically destroy a disk, you can still get data off of it.

The issue that is supposed to raised in discussions involving child pornography is not that it's too difficult to hide.

Sorry, I'm sitting in a cyber forensics class discussing data retrieval. Seemed situationally appropriate.
 
The question here is what they consider to be child pornography. If it was a 2 year old getting ass raped by a 60 year old, then by all means, cut his head off. But if it was two 15 year olds getting it on, it shouldn't even be a big deal.
 
another question to ask is how much they found. i read somewhere that it was one count of possession of child p. does that mean one single file? zazaa and limewire accidents do happen.

If he downloaded some porn from kazaa and it turned out to be two 16 year old kids fucking, let him go. If he went to "GetYour4YearOldChildPornHere.com" and downloaded some 4 year old who's father was playing with her then lock that bastard up. /end

I was just thinking the same thing. It's hard to tell in some cases if the chick is underage or not, and unless it's very obviously child porn, I think that a charge should be situational.

Fuck, with so many 15-17 year old chicks being dumbasses with digital cameras and webcams, and then so many of those videos somehow becoming distributed, it's like a minefield when you're downloading porn off of torrents/limewire.

Uh. The fbi has been involved several times when some poor bastard downloaded a few pornos with 15-18 year olds.

They should really disclose what kind of images/videos they found so we know if he's a sick baby lover or just normal.

Although there is no reason for Jessica's name to be even dropped in this thread - she is working outside the industry now.

About Adam, this is unfortunate, but remember that he has not been proven guilty, charges have only been laid. It's very possible that he was unaware of age, or a file that was attached to something else he downloaded, or a wrong file name or whatever. He definitely didn't seem like the type to do something like this.
