Anyone use em?

I'm looking to get a new one, but not your typical buzzer one. Looking for something more soothing and natural. Any1 have those sunlight alarms?

I have it. Worth the money.

Wrote about it somewhere... search for it.

I'm using some old fashion alarm clock,my clock look similar like this picture and just differ on color. I think, digital alarm clock got no effect on my unconscious stage :P

That'd be a pretty cool alarm if it really did fly around. It's just a plastic propeller. And knowing me, I'd be too lazy to find the thing and just take the batteries out to shut it up.

lol, I'd break it after one day. I found this video, it looks like it just kind of flies off and lands on the ground for you to find.

I don't hear most alarm clocks. I don't hear a lot these days. Seem to have an internal wake-up signal though. Subigo's flying alarm would make you want to shoot it down or stomp on it - wake up on red alert!

I have a sunlight alarm clock with a neodymium bulb. It's just a common lightbulb but with a blueish coating which filters out unnatural colors. At one point I broke the bulb and replaced it with a normal lightbulb but that didn't work as well.

I bought the clock to be able to wake up more smoothly and it does that job pretty well, unless I happen to sleep with my head under the covers.

However I was surprised how well the dimming function helps me to fall asleep and I consider that now the most valueable function for me personally as I had great trouble with that. Definitely recommended.

Don't know about actual alarms (don't have to use them as I don't have a JOB) but I definitely recommend the projection clocks. Does wonders for insomnia. (I couldn't stand the bright neon numbers at night yet I couldn't stand not knowing what time it was)

I have a Clocky. It stopped working after my dog went after it on Day 4 :( I suppose "had' would be a better choice of words.

My bedroom stereo actually has an alarm clock feature in it, so I set it to play something that's going to wake me up, but not too harshly. Plays random Mp3s from my "alarm" directory. Mostly classical or prog rock. Good to wake up to that. And because it's random from about 100 tracks, I don't get used to the sound either.
It's a Medion brand that my mum bought me.

Having just looked it up on Google, I realise now that my mother is a cheap bitch... They're from ALDI!!!

What I do is have my stereo turn on 20 minutes before my alarm, with it tuned to my favorite radio station which has a morning show. I fade in and out of sleep during that 20 min before my alarm (standard annoying buzzer) turns on from the other side of the room requiring me to jump up and move which wakes me up faster.

I have a soundspa alarm clock that features simulated sunrise.

It also has a blue lcd light that you can use to project the time on your ceiling and features nature sounds on a timer to help you get to sleep as well.

This thing is sweet, got it at the linens n things bankruptcy sale.

I put on the ocean sound and it feels like i'm in a hut on the beach, because the blue light on the ceiling feels like moonlight when your eyes are closed.

Then the thing gradually turns on your lamp over 10 minutes and wakes you up to the sound of nature sounds, alarm clock, or radio.

Very cool, get one!

If I were to buy another one I'd get one that was also an ipod dock/mp3 player so I could plug my ipod or blackberry into it to play music.

Also that axbo alarm clock looks sweet!

The wii fit told me that you should wake up during a light sleep cycle, and the average cycles last about 90 minutes, so try to wake up after 7 1/2 hours of sleep.

Another thing you might want to try out if you have trouble getting up is holosync technology by Centerpoint Institute.

You listen to it with stereo headphones and it puts you in different states.

So instead of setting your alarm 30 - 45 minutes earlier than you want to get up, and then fighting with the snooze button for an hour, you set the alarm for 30 minutes before you want to get up, then when you wake up, shut the alarm clock off and put the headphones.

You will fall back asleep but you will wake up as soon as it is done completely energetic and ready to go.

I've been using this off and on and it's really interesting stuff.
