Almost 24 Hours of WF Downtime..

So how did you spend your time?? Did you actually get up and go outside? Did you discover reading books can be fun again? Did you add more hardcore midget porn to your extensive library? Tell us!

Lucky for us, this happened on a holiday in which most people spend it with their family. So there is no work for most of the industry people, even the ones who work from home.

The problem we had, at first it looked like a DDOS attack, which we get pretty often. Then it was suggested that we got our asses rooted. But finally, it was discovered that the hard drive needed to be replaced. Not sure why it took so damn long, but hey, doesn't seem like we lost any data really, and being that it's also the lowest traffic day of the year, it wasn't as bad as some may think!

Just want to give a quick thanks to Brandon for dealing with this on a holiday, and to our host for getting it fixed and not giving us excuses so to not hurt our feelings, bad news was bad news, but they are honest! And finally to the more than 110 people that IM'ed me with "Hey, not sure you know, but WF has been down for 12+ hours for me" -- No shit! Really? :sleep:

I was surprised because the hosting is usually quite solid for WF.

But after wimpering a little from not having any fresh scat pics or getting rickrolled, I decided to finally upgrade to Wordpress 2.31 and then turned off a few plugins and added a few new ones. No problems and all plugins and my theme works ok.

It was productive, Thanks!
 
Productive on my end too. Managed to design a blog, code it and port it into Wordpress for one of my new sites. I also managed to sell some stuff. But I did miss my daily dose of Wickedfire...
 
I got most of a new mortgage site completed :)
At the same time though we had turkey day a while ago in Canada so it was just another day.
 
Great to see that no data has been lost, Even I think that I am addicted to WF.
Got my 1st affiliate campaign up on Google.. :)

Props to Rus for not making bullshit excuses for downtime. The only honest host I've ever met.

I took the day off. Called my parents. Called a few
great friends. Then, hung out with my girlfriend's
family. They are all great to hang with. Each one
of them has a different quirk.

Now, after having a day off, I'm energized and ready
to hit the ground running tomorrow morning. Bright
and early.

Today was a good day. Great food. Great company.
 
When I found out that Wickedfire had disappeared, I was worried that the world had fallen in half.

But Wickedfire's back, proving to me that the world hadn't fallen in half, so everything is OK.

What a relief.

How does anything actually fall in half? Did you drop out of grade school by any chance?
 
Ha after recomending this place to a friend only to be told it did not exist i freaked out a for about an hour, got over it and actually did some work. Reged 4 new domains for a new product launch and tried to work a new script for amazon which was buggy as fuck. and drank 4 cups of double shot coffee. What thanksgiving...

Confirmed a shit load of submissions from our friend Kamesh and downloaded some new torrent movies. Its amazin how much shit you get done when not fucking around in here.

I got a little work done myself... but mostly I just smoked weed and checked my stats
