Yup. My problem with the hide was we were on week long hunting trip and I shot mine the first day. Not really in to processing a deer when you got beer to drink and cards to play. It much easier to do within 4 hours or so of killing it. I'm sure there are a lot of good tricks but it's more fun to have some buddies around to supervise, drink beer and give you shit.
