America's debt is trivial.

It will be 3 years complete in July. I did spend about 10 hours a week for a year going pretty hardcore into learning this stuff.

I don't have large demands on my time except work. I'm obviously a nerd, so what some people think is work, I think is play.

You're very lucky with the toddlers. Kids are awesome. In that regard, you are light years ahead of me.

This guy has absolutely no clue! I'm not a chicken little running around and claiming that the sky is falling on the US, but anyone that can not see that China is rising and will probably become the most economically powerful nation on earth by the end of this century is simply not paying attention to what is going on.

They already have enough reserves reserves to buy all of the available gold in the world and they are trying to do just that. It is only a matter of time until all world currencies revert back to a gold type standard and the US will be completely screwed financially. You can not keep printing paper endlessly without anything to back it up and not expect to have to pay a price.

Other countries see the writing on the wall and are no longer buying American paper. China has figured out that eventually he who controls the gold will control the finances of the world. They are even telling their people to invest everything that they can in gold and silver coins. In the US you find a corner liquor store and payday loan shop everywhere, in china they are putting up shops to buy gold and other precious metals.

I certainly don't think we are going down in flames, but we may very well be heading toward an economic collapse that will make the Great Depression look like a blip on the radar.

the trusty brainwashed liberal feels he has to defend liberal policies, so he ends up trying to minimize the damage they cause. Sad.

Oh, then maybe you should also have a problem with people exaggerating in the other direction about dangers and such. None of your posts or topics you start would fit into that category though, right? :jester:

Fair Minimum Wage Act of 2007
Measure Title: A bill to amend the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 to provide for an increase in the Federal minimum wage.

Vote Counts:

YEAs 94
NAYs 3
Not Voting 3

It looks like at least 94 out of the 100 senators in 2007 were "liberals", along with George Bush who signed the bill.
