Any personal trainers?

I went from 205 to 165 in 4 months. no acai berry here.
In the beginning it was all excercise (and cutting out mcdonalds), but at like 175 ish it was all nutrition.
upping my carb intake let me down sub %10 levels.

but now i said fuck it and drink beer everynight. Going for 200 by january
then cut down to 180ish

edit: i love steroids

anyone got advice for getting to under 12% bf. Lowest I have gotten to is 15-16%. Pure hard work and diet? I went through a year of chicken breasts, tuna and yams. wasn't the best tasting but it worked.

It would be cool if we could post pics of our transformation but someone is going to jack it and slap it onto an acai extreme landing page.

also, anyone prefer HIIT over just running cardio. feels weird asking a gay webmaster forum.

Just wanted to throw this in there, I dropped 25 lbs in one week using a weight loss pill from GNC and a diet I made up. It was hell, my body fucking hated me, but it was the week before Cancun and it worked wonders on my stomach.

Water weight is fun to shift around in the right way. :)

I prefer a couple hours of high intensity cardio (ultimate, hill sprints, etc) twice a week over endless jogging/overuse of the joints. But that's just me, a little too ADD to pound out miles anymore.

@Bofu, haha, sounds painful. My friend just came back from 4 days @ Shambala 15 pounds lighter...tripping burns some serious calories.

I honestly don't think that is possible.
Unless we are talking about someone stuffing themselves and then weighing. Then taking a shit ton of diuretics and exlax to piss and shit water etc out. + not eating and then weighing themselves.

then again i could be wrong. what was the supplement called? were you lifting on top of that?

yeah. it gets boring. running so long. i've come to realize that i have the worst endurance ever and tire easily running. thats probably from a year of lifting and no cardio hahaa

Yea i have some advice
once you get to a peak (not losing anymore weight) up your carb intake in the morning.
I hit a peak around 12-10 and just ate more (clean) and it liquefied off.
HIIT is way better than regular cardio, but make sure you do i right.
Losing weight is easy, but keeping muscle and losing weight is hard.

For example
If your really big now, +20%, you can get away with using an ECA stack.
But once you get lower BF, that ECA stack will start directly eating muscle if your not carefull (thats why I stopped)

If you eat to little, Bam muscles gone.
If you run to much, Bam muscles gone.

Dont be afraid of sugar after hit, it can help stop muscle catasrophy(sp or w/e)

If your at 15%, start running in the morning, upping carb calories (200-500 not much), make sure you eat 8 times a day(yeah 8, fuck that 6 shit noise) and do some squats.

You answered it yourself, pure hard work and diet, although depending on how hard you train, diet isnt too important either. I got down to 3.5% when I did a lot of swimming, I was training 30+ hours a week though :) I was also eating 6,000+ calories a day.

It was DREN - my appetite was literally GONE. I would eat mcdonalds in the morning (egg & cheese biscuit, 3 hashbrowns, 2 small milks) and then 2 hotdogs & small portion of chips for dinner. I would drink about .. hell I don't remember exactly but probably 3-4 gallons of water a day. That's all I did for 7 days straight. As for working out I was just doing pushups and crunches, about 200-300 crunches/day with the ablounge.

Edit: if you want more details hit me on AIM.

really? i thought it would be the opposite that I should lower carb intake as i'm getting lower. i've been going the keto type approach and keeping carbs pretty low. I know i should start squatting again but it's just not "fun" hahaa. i hit 500 and stopped because my knees were giving me problems.

damn. thats something i've never really read about. sounds like something similar to clenbuterol though. which is some intenseeeeee shit.

All i know is i increased early morning carbs and lost more fat, I guess it sped up my metabolism.

DREN, donno, use tren to kill yourself.
i like a good ECA stack more then dren/tren/hydroxy blah blah

What a dolt. Where did I ever say 220 to 270? And when did I say it was 50lbs of muscle? And where did I say I went to one our fitness? Nice try.

I went from 145 to 195, everybody at Affiliate Summit last year asked me if I was doing roids because the last time they saw me was when I was 145 at the prior summit and a twig. I started a solid workout plan and was eating 4,000 cals/day, every day, never missed a workout, etc. It wasn't all muscle, I put on some pudge for sure, but my strength gains were enormous and I did put on quite a bit of muscle.

I stopped working out because I hurt my shoulder and never really got back on the train, so I dropped back down to about 175-180.

ok, you wrote stories when you were 15 for a website and you listen to everything your "trainers" at one hour fitness say. never really "put it into practice", but you still know all about "it". awesome. stay uber dude.

50lbs of muscle in a year is pure bullshit. i'm seriously laughing at the thought of going from 220 to 270 in a year. even with gear that's utterly impossible.

So the summary of this article is "Exercise doesn't help me because it makes me hungry so I eat more". Gimme a break.

I don't buy it either. I have zero appetite for at least 2hrs after a hard workout. However it does have me second guessing whether an intense anaerobic workout is any more beneficial than a daily bike ride.

Yah, but that doesn't support any arguments against me. All I was doing was simply stating that weight loss is a result of a calorie deficit, and that exercise -like eating less- creates a calorie deficit.

The problem with most "fatties" that you want to help is that they eat nowhere near 1,800 calories, and most of the calories they consume are empty or fatty. Some simple diet changes and a healthy lifestyle is all most people need to get down to a desired weight. Exercise just makes it easier and supplements the calorie deficit, and in a lot of peoples cases gives them the motivation and positive attitude that they're actually doing something.

So you can help people lose weight by being a trainer, but if that's really the only types of people you want to work with, I'd look into doing both. Make some more moolah doing that anyway.

Let's say, for the sake of argument, that sitting on your ass all day burns 1,500 calories. You consume 1,800 calories, resulting in weight gain. 1,800 is pretty low, so cutting back to 1,500 would be difficult, although you would technically no longer be gaining weight.

Now, on the other hand, let's take 1,800 calories per day guy and stick him on a treadmill for an hour every day. Suddenly his body is using 1,8000-2,000 calories per day, so he's no longer gaining weight AND he can maintain his current diet.

Crap I only read the first page.
