Anyone for Mechwarrior Online?



Looks cool. Hopefully it lives up to the old games, loved those when I was a kid. Free to play? Definitely giving it a shot.
 
Sat for 5 minutes trying to think of something funny/witty/clever to say. I got bupkis, hope you die of aids.
 
It's hard to be a good troll when you post so much. You need to save it up and then smash us with some good "shit".
 
I don't need to be good or bad. I'm an enlightened troll, I have transcended beyond such meaningless value systems.
 
The old games were pretty bad ass, so ill check it out when it comes out. I wonder if they are going to sell a full custom controller setup like they used to.
 
I clocked mechwarrior 2, mechwarrior mercenaries and mechwarrior 3 (or 4, forgot) a decade ago... I hope this online one isn't utter crap it's looking good though. I've been playing a few of these online MMORPGs recently to see what its all about and its all just disappointment, not fun (star trek online anyone?). I tried WOW for the first time a month ago, it's ok but I'm not gobsmacked, other than the cool buildings and familiarity... let us hope MWO turns out good, I'd like to get on it
 
Where do you find any time to play games like eve and this with all the things you have going on G?

DayZ looks pretty lame tbh. It looked cool at first, but I play video games to escape stress, not to spend all of my time trying to find beans or bandages.

I believe this is a downloadable, using the Crysis 3 engine.

I don't play much Eve, 10 minutes a day to set skills, manage assets and trade orders. Maybe play a few hours on the weekends. I really don't have the time to play that a lot of guys do. I wish I did.

I will have to find opportunities for MWO. It will all come down to whether or not I can find people to play with.
 
Odd, we were just talking about Mechwarrior the other day and wondering why they hadn't done anything with that franchise lately. We were thinking it, and the whole Battletech universe, would make a great MMORPG. Something like Eve but with way more player interactions in space stations, cities and outposts. Looks like this is mostly just a shooter but it might still be fun. We were also wondering if they might ever do a Shadowrun MMORPG.

You can use the demo, but need to buy the expansion. I think it went on sale today.

Gotta buy combined operations which is on sale both on steam and on bohemia's site directly (for cheaper actually).

You CAN play just using the demo and the paid expansion, but it's way shittier apparently.

Worth every penny. Hit up andrew scherer if you want to play with us.
