I've been waiting for this for 3 years. Fucking love mechwarrior. Did you see the catapult launch it's LRMs in that vide. Sweeeeet! /nerd
 
I remember playing the original a lot when it was new... Back in the days that PCs were NOT meant for gaming... I think it was a 286... Oh well.

Seeing this video back then would have made me think that today we'd have a total Jetsons future... ;)

Looks great, but I don't buy games. No time to invest, but every few days I steal a minute or two to dip into one of the trillions of free games online.
 
Always thought the mechwarrior games were so damn repetitive. These don't look any different.
 
I played 2 matches, each about 7 mins long. 6 on 6.

I can confirm this is really cool. But it is still very beta.
 
Count me in if I can get my lame ass laptop videocard to run it. I still have a 3.5" floppy of the original Mechwarrior. I fuckin' loved that game!
 
Had my first 4 kill game yesterday (8v8 public random).

An exceptionally good game is 5 kills.

It's all about finding a niche and getting good at it.
 
I'm not a fan of the laser weapons. I like projectiles you have to aim. But not a big deal I guess.

But then again the only games I ever played for any length of time were ultima online for years when it came out, and darkfall online a few years ago. And after darkfall I think all other gameplay sucks dick. I mean, FPS rpg with aim to hit, full loot, naval combat and territory control(siege other clans and take their city as your own) was epic. Just had lots of other problems.....

For someone with "no time to invest", you sure spend a lot of time making and replying to useless political posts on a gay webmaster forum.
