Big List of Things to Make You Feel Old

To bad when your younger you dont realize how fast time flys,,, I always wanted to be 16 - car,, 21 - legal alcohol and so on.. always wanted to be older.

Now Christmas and birthdays are just blip on the screen... life truly is short...

One thing about having a child is you get to re-live your childhood through them.. so cool... plus watch them go through the same shit you did... if there is meaning to life this is it.

Life is not all about having things, money does buy security and a life style but it does not make you happy... You could not have made me believe this when I was younger...

Life is good, enjoy it while you can.

This.

I remember having my second baby, buying the forever house and finishing my masters in the same year. Then I was like, "Now what?" I was 28 and had done practically all I had set out to do between now and retirement. It was a very sobering moment to realize how much I had lost working that hard to reach a particular point. The solution was to make some new goals that I wouldn't have even thought to make when I was 18 or even 25.

@ Turbo - I LOVED those cable boxes. I remember my first remote, too - it plugged into the television itself and let you sit about four feet away. What a novelty. I also remember changing out the disks while playing a game on the old Apple IIGS - you had to change them constantly if you planned to ever finish. One scratch and the whole game was ruined.

@ Everyone - if we're realizing how much time has passed but still feeling so young and "with it", what does that say about our parents? Will we feel the same way when we're 60, 70, 80?

I remember when Back to the Future II (2015) really WAS the "future" - now it's only 5 years away, and we're not even close to Hill Valley 2015.

I remember watching Star Wars on VHS at my Grandparents before Empire Strikes Back was even released. Grandpa's VHS was one of those monsterously huge machines similar to this one:

He got a new one in 82 0r 83 and we got the original. Had it until 90 when the heads finally went bad.

Miss those days of indestructible products.

This reminds me of my microwave. It is a relic from 1980. I had to get my mom to show me how to work the dial to turn it on. I need a new one, but I'm waiting on that part of the kitchen remodel. Naturally the built-in microwave is already 30 years old and working like a charm. If it would break I'd have an excuse...

19. They never twisted the coiled handset wire aimlessly around their wrists while chatting on the phone.

That was cute.

I volunteer with high school kids, so I like to think I'm pretty up to date on what's cool and what's not. Last year I had to learn like 4 Taylor Swift songs on the guitar with the help of just one iPod earbud and the encouragement of a half-dozen teenage girls on a long bus ride. It keeps me young.

I remember when Spam ( the stuff in a can ) came out. Still like to eat it fried with some eggs and toast.

Cars had no A/C and an automatic transmission was an option.

The new fangled Polio vaccine that you got at school on a sugar cube. :) Took a series of three doses too.

Gasoline at .25 cents a gallon. 10 cent Cokes, Nickle candy bar that was bigger than today's version.
