Thanks Shawn Collins for attempting to slow the fraud out there. Gotta love how everybody here jumps on the "hey get off your high horse" bandwagon. Um... if somebody is committing fraud, they should be stopped. This "kid" that was suspended from college was likely ripping both affiliates and "customers" off. Why shouldn't he be turned in if found out?

Obviously I don't know the whole story, but neither do any of you. I'm sick and tired of the seemingly endless attempts at fraud and I'm glad every time a person responsible for some of it is caught.

Kids fuck up all the time, especially if they're broke ass college students. If one is affecting you and you get the urge to be a nark about it target the law, parents, the kid themselves. but NEVER target their education. That makes you the scumbag. A lot of us made mistakes in college trying to get by. Imagine if some asshole online vigilante came in and got you kicked out of school. I don't care who you are, a kids education isn't anything to fuck with.

I think we do know the whole story... as it relates to this thread. We've read BYAs comment here, seen his blog and now we've seen little Shawns comments about BYAs life here, his blog and Shawns rat tendencies. He self admitted them.

I don't advocate out and out fraud, either. But, getting caught and being ratted out are two entirely different things.

A rat is worse than the person commiting the fraud. At least with someone commiting fraud, when they're caught, it stops. A rat lives on to rat out others and YOU might be next.

Rats thrive on outing people... sometimes innocent people... whose lives and careers are irreperably damaged. Yet the rats life and career goes on. That's the part that bothers me about the do-gooders.

If it doesn't directly effect you, keep your fucking mouth shut!! If someone is doing something wrong, eventually they'll get caught. No need to speed it up.

As far as the college kid, Deliguy is on the mark. College kids think they're invincible at that age. They don't see the wrong in half of what they do. Just like the UNL kids that were busted and strongarmed out of $3K

I have a college kid. I own a business.

While my college kid is in college, I get to claim him on my taxes because he is still my responsibility as far as the tax men are concerned.

So, if you as a business person would have come to me ... I would have settled it up with you as far as financial losses. Then I would have handled it with him when he got home for the summer (or break).

But that's just me. I try not to throw the book at people on the first offense. Second time, yeah...my tolerance level as a nice girl is thin. Third time, fry em.

You COULD have gone to the kid and told him the gig was up, could have threatened to go to his parents to get the money back or even gone to the police. You could have frozen the account, and locked him out or done any number of things.
