Captchas Are About To Get A WHOLE LOT HARDER for bots.

more like 2-3 hours.

it's innovative for sure, but any well-trained convolutional neural network will have no problems with it.
hell, even a poorly trained one with off-the-shelf software had no problem:

cnn2.jpg

samples were horses, trucks, motorcycles, joggers, and fish -- all with less than 10 training images per category.
no doubt could get 80%+ certainty, if not higher, with more time/images fed into it.

high-accuracy cracking of these captchas is pretty much simple as capturing a few frames from the animation for the test set and running that against (named, for output) trained sets.

always fun to see new captcha approaches though.
one of the better (read: no boot on neck) ways to fuel the AI arms race.

Numenta ftw

What is common to all of them? You are the first one to mention "Indians" in all these threads in a derogatory way.

None of the threads are about India or Indians (as far as I could see - if there is one, consider that as the exception).

At the same time, came across this, posted by you, again mentioning Indians: epic thread!

In other words, according to this turd, "mentioning Indians = "racist""

Let me just say that you have way too much time on your hands. And every thread you cited dwelled within the realm of tasks or industries where outsourcing or outsourcing industries played a large role. Therefore, it was virtually inevitable that Indians would naturally be mentioned within the course of discussion.

There was absolutely nothing racist about anything mentioned and it's a waste of time to drag the thread in that direction. This is the kind of hysterical delusions I'd expect to see on Huffpo or Daily Kos, but not on WF where people generally stay rational.

If you guys consider that people saying that hiring Indians are cheap labor is racist, perhaps you should look at your economy more than the political correctness of this issue. It's simply a statement of fact that dollars are worth more than rupees (for now at least).

You should actually consider it a compliment that ground floor tech stuff is outsourced to India, we outsource hard labor to Mexico ... there's no glamor in their jobs whatsoever.

Numenta ftw

WTF ... you're the 2nd mod in 24 hours to post that I've never even heard of and I'm not exactly new around here.

quit being so damn insecure .

That made my day. Seriously.

To both of you - no. I was pointing to the fact that he has a pattern of posting stuff like that, again - and again - and again. This is not about someone cracking an Indian joke, but about someone beating to death the same "Indian" theme repeatedly. To the point where it is no longer funny.

Now, when he posts, in the short term, fueled by adrenaline, he will post more such stuff, just to prove he has not been affected by this. Maybe a couple of "****ole, go and put your *** in the *** and crawl back to ***" posts. But once it is all over, he will be a tad more careful when posting.

I've already wasted enough time - I am out of this thread.

Good thread, reminds me of the good old days in Politics&Religion forum @ digitalpoint... debating about racism.

After that music video thread fail I would avoid saying "good old days" and digitalpoint in the same sentence.

Was thinking the same thing here.

Lerchmo comes out about once a year, see's his wf shadow and then goes back underground until the next year.

Guess I'll have to pick up his slack then.

So why the fuck are you still talking, 'tard?

Seems to me LordB tolerated Zeros comments for awhile and he felt he finally crossed the line. (so he spoke up)

Indianman apparently was also offended and backed up LordB.

No sense in calling them " 'tards" for being offended. (It's almost proving their point.)

From now on when I start to talk about sending good money to someone in India to work for me I'll enclose my post with <racism></racism> tags since it is becoming apparent that Indians think it's racist to be called 'Indians'.

So, the way I see it, there are three options going forward:
1) Refer to Indians as 'The people who reside in India'
For example: "I'm going to outsource this job to a person who resides in India"
2) Use the aforementioned <racism> tags.
3) Outsource all my future work to Pakistan.

Yeah, that's it, I'll take #3 from now on and save myself some trouble. Sorry India.

No, you don't have to outsource to Pakistan yet, you already got it.... it's real easy.

Instead of saying....

"Go get me some Indian repellent and BOLT THE DOORS SHUT!"

You could say....

<racism> "Go get me some 'people who reside in India' repellent and BOLT THOSE DOORS SHUT!... because I don't want any 'people who reside in India' getting in! </racism> Fixed. :wipes hands:

Nvm, you were probably being sarcastic. (I think. :) )

See, that's the danger of this whole conversation.

If we all tiptoe around these issues like a bunch of pussy ass liberals trying to get votes then sarcasm loses it's flavor.

I, for one, refuse to do it. I value being able to say whatever is on my mind. You guys are smart & the best marketers on the internet ... but if it weren't for the freedom I have to be myself and not worry about making some insecure bitch cry, I simply wouldn't be here.

Someone save wickedfire from pussification (as zeros so eloquently put it).

... and yes, I'm retarded like rainman
