This. Electronics are a huge nono from anywhere in Asia.
All that apple shit you'd normally purchase is made in asia anyway.

Anyone try these Korean noname ips screens? Same resolution and size as an Apple Thunderbolt monitor (27 inch, 2560x1440) and at $300 they seem like great value although not as aesthetic:

While it's on topic... Can someone who knows about monitors tell me what's wrong with this one ( LG 27EA33V-B 27in Widescreen IPS LED LCD w/ HDMI at Memory Express ) ?
It's going to be like $200 tomorrow as a daily deal, and I don't know what all those numbers mean. It seems crazy cheap, so I'm just wondering what I'm sacrificing compared to a $600 or $1000 screen.
Cheers!
edit: Just noticed the resolution is 1920 x 1080, might be low for a 27 inch? Halp
Was interested until I saw their policy on defective units.
I want a monitor, not a lottery ticket...
IPS is the shit tho. You won't even believe how yellow your whites are until you've seen it side by side.
I definitely wouldn't, my 22" is the same resolution, 1920 is pretty low for a monitor that size. While it's on topic... Can someone who knows about monitors tell me what's wrong with this one ( LG 27EA33V-B 27in Widescreen IPS LED LCD w/ HDMI at Memory Express ) ?
