288-127

Lawmakers in the House voted 288-to-127 Thursday afternoon to accept the bill. Next it will move to the Senate and could then end up on the desk of US President Barack Obama for him to potentially sign the bill into law. Earlier this week, though, senior White House advisers said they would recommend the president veto the bill.

Should CISPA earn the president’s autograph, private businesses will be encouraged to voluntarily share cyberthreat information with the US government. The authors of the bill say this is an effort to better combat the reportedly increasing attempts to harm America’s critical computer networks and pilfer the systems of private companies for intellectual property and other sensitive trade secrets.

Obama loves to say he wont sign a bill, right before he sign's it. You know like the one that allows him to detain americans with out trial for any belligerent acts

I like IPVanish now. $10 a month and you can choose your connection by country and pingtime both... Stable as hell, too.

inb4 skype chats get people into detainment centers...
They've been doing that in China for bunches of years now. In Murika? Probably already happened there too.

That's why I like BitMessage. It's based off of Bitcoin, using a smaller decentralized blockchain and is open source so you can be sure it's not hackable.

Any of you yahoos want to test it out, PM me a BM address.

Listen up gais; The US is clearly about to lose the internet freedom war. It's not that I think CISPA itself is internet armageddon, but it's likely the last straw that uncle sam needs to control the internet the same way China does.

But you all need to understand that there are other options though. Everything online, and I do mean EVERYTHING, can be decentralized. ISPs too. You won't need to use their internet at all soon.

The end result is unavoidable... "Outlaws" who use their own internet and decentralized services are going to have completely different thoughts and feelings about everything in the world from the rest of the "good little sheeple" who use the government approved services and ISPs.

Orwellian shit like CISPA is sending us there at a rocket's pace... And what a different world we are heading into.

If that House Nigga signs that bill, Rest assured it will bring SOPA and PIPA back, and we'll have to do everything we can to stop it..

We need Django to deal with House Nigger Obama.. God damn.. I hope he's smarter than that

IPVanish stores logs of when you've connected, there are some that don't keep any logs whatsoever, might want to look into those as well.
