Ok so got a prescription for 1mg Clonazepam... supposed to be a replacement for xanax....

Well I think I've taken like 5 or 6 of these fuckers today and overall... I feel good, like no stress at all...

Buuuut... Im out of pot and wanna get fucking faced right now...

Any suggestions on dosage?

The mother who can't get by without her Valium?

The modern day shaman who spends her days meditating and exploring different realms of consciousness with the aid of power plants?
The politician who drinks a bottle of scotch a day?

Don't stereotype people. Every individual has their own reasons for the actions they choose to take.

Forums are all about opinions, my own is I believe drug addicts are the the dregs of society, with the exception of people who takes drugs to relieve pain from some sort of illness.

I am not into religion and nailing down my door would be a difficult task as it is plastic, maybe a strong adhesive would work.

I am well aware drug users bring plenty of misery to everyone they come into contact with, they live totally selfish lives and would they really be missed?

I think not!

I bet the # of drug deaths is A LOT higher now 17 years later after those stats were published.

I bet drug deaths now account for MORE deaths than alcohol (but not Tobacco)

Yeah, the UK ones are a bit out of date. The US ones are pretty recent though.

I didn't want to spend ages looking for it, but if government stats are anything to go by so-called binge-drinking has increased by a lot more than drug use.

I'm fairly certain alcohol is second only to tobacco as the most lethal drug.

You don't get it, do you? WHAT DO YOU DEFINE AS A DRUG USER?

Do you go by your government's definition of illegal drugs? This varies across the world. Taking one specific example, a couple of years ago psilocybin mushrooms were legal in the UK (unprepared). They are now classified the same as heroin. Fly Agaric mushrooms are completely legal, yet arguably more dangerous. Is someone who uses one type a 'drug user' and someone who uses another not?

Or how about prescription medication. When does a dependency on something become 'drug use' in your view?

And I don't think alcohol and tobacco need to be mentioned any more. It's a sad irony that the most dangerous drugs are the most legal.

It pisses me off that our governments spend billions on this war on drug users. The line should be drawn where someone's actions affect other people, not themselves.

Legislation, taxation, harm reduction and quality control is the way forward.

Bring this multi-billion dollar economy away from the black market and everyone will benefit - from the poor farmers in Afghanistan and Columbia through to the neighbourhoods where crime has increased as a result of higher drug prices (as a result of reduced supply, due to their taxes being spent trying to fight drug trafficking).

I think everyone understands what the term drug user refers to in the context of this thread, although to the cantankerous members a simple statement like that may be difficult to comprehend...geeezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
