Alright, here's the deal, I just got out of jail about a month ago, was there for 94 days. It was for silly reasons, obstruction of justice... Caught drinking underage at a park with a few friends, I told the ranger a fake name, ran away, yada yada, got put on probation, skipped a few drug tests, yada yada. Long story short, now I'm on ISP. (Intensive Supervised Probation)
Well, in order to appease my PO I must get a job. A job!
My online affiliate schemes won't qualify even though I could earn more money doing this, and doing what I love, than I ever will working, simultaneously, 12 hour days at multiple McDonalds.
Now, don't think I'm trying affiliate programs as a cheap way to get out of a job real quick for probation. Oh no, I've been into domain name trading, PPC advertising, arbitrage, and various other forms of online monetization. I actually got my start back in 02 by purchasing misspelled domain names, sleaze ball way to steal traffic I know, I still have a few of those babies churning profit. (Nice to get a check when you get out of jail
)
Alright, to skip a lot more crap that I would love to type, here is my question... While doing this won't qualify as a job, I can take college courses that WILL qualify as a substitute.
What classes would anyone on here recommend taking?
I'm thinking I could aim for a business degree with a specialization in either marketing, internet marketing (would be the best), e-business, or something along those lines. My local community college, which is huge, probably over 20,000 students, has no classes related to internet marketing. It strikes me as very odd. So I'm looking more towards an online program probably.
I don't want to take classes on html, php, programming, yada, yada, I'm looking more towards the business or marketing side of things. I can always hire people that took those classes (or use tools). I'd be more interested in web analytic type classes, internet marketing, I dunno.
Any recommendations at all towards a direction?
