And... directtrack can scrub... sorry to let everyone in on that secret too.

Can you explain how DT can shave? Screen shots of DT shaving would be ideal, otherwise youre another follower regurgitating what one pissed off person said years ago about DT again with no proof

I am not bashing you, but i am tired of hearing that you can scrub in DT when you in fact CANNOT. And if you think someone with their proprietary system doesnt scrub ask former employees youll get the real story.

Some networks are under public companies, if you want to see if they scrub go look at their financial filings, its public information. If they claim you get top payout and you know you get what they get but they show a 30% margin in their filings, where do you think it comes from?

I am frustrated with DT myself, they need to improve their technology, but in no way does it scrub, or not track. What causes tracking to fail is the individual networks themselves, maybe network ABC scrubbed you but because they use DT doesnt mean there is a feature in DT that allows scrubbing

Not to turn this thread in to that but the DT scrubs comments piss me off. Its like picking on a someone for something they are not.

Did all of you miss the first part?

The Affiliate was blacklisted by the Advertiser for using non-compliant creative to promote the Advertiser’s offer. The Affiliate’s noncompliant creative was also a breach of our Terms and Conditions regarding proper advertising conduct.

That explains why he has such a high conversion rate. If you do shit that you're not supposed to you get blacklisted. End of fucking discussion.

I absolutely love how mr. krongel stands up for shit he believes in instead of letting others just post shit and getaway with it. I wish more network "leaders" would browse around on wf.

I can't wait to see copeacs offices in nyc!

Aren't you the retard who said he got blacklisted because his CTR was 1,000%?

He's the one who picks on n00bs like me for not knowing affiliates can remove a blacklisted campaign from a publishers panel. Though the many years I have been in this I have never had a campaign blacklisted to me, but of course not knowing that makes me a "stupid n00b" :)

I no longer have access to a DT back end but I was in one a few months ago and it was possible to remove leads.

I can't find this scrub button anywhere on DT either. Mike brings up a good point though. Since DT is publicly available and custom systems are NOT, which one COULD scrub more easily? All these guys picking on DT and saying they will only use networks with custom coded tracking systems are not thinking it through.

Advertisers scrub. Networks get blamed. No system, custom or not, is perfect.

It's possible to remove commissions in every network and software, but I don't think that's what's being referred to here.

Doesn't that mean you've to get all your ads and landing page approved by advertiser? Or just using their (lame) creative?

No offense to CPAE but How long should they run the offer so it'll be considered LIMITED INTERNAL TESTING, not stealing? (Hey spamming could be high-volume email deploying)

C'mon now...of course DT doesn't have a "shave" or "scrub" button but really...really...you don't think another layer can be added in by networks to effectively shave or scrub leads?

I am not insinuating any particular network does this but conceptually it is extremely possible and asking for screenshots as proof is ludicrous.

Alright, you got me...Here's your screenshot:

I have no idea what truly happened and I'm not taking sides.

However, my question is if this Steven S. Richter guy truly cares to make things neutral then why didn't he come here and post himself and take questions?

Seems like he doesn't respect people here enough to do that. I kind of feel like he's a big corporation that is removed from what's going on. And doesn't respect us as affiliates enough to take the time to come and sort things out.

Am I the only one that feels this way?

Jon why did you post it and not make him post it himself?

No.

Scott?
Why are you calling out Scott? It wasn't even Scott's response it was Steve's.

Shit happens, get over it. Who cares if cpae actually did this or not? The affiliate was obviously doing something he shouldn't have been and thus put himself in a position to get screwed. They even said their creatives converted 75% lower than the ones he was using.

I'm not choosing sides here, if you don't want to get fucked though don't put yourself in that position.

The fucking affiliate was obviously doing some shady ass shit and got caught. Now he's trying to use it to his advantage by making a super gay nipple pinching commercial.

I just don't see what's so fucking hard to understand about the whole thing. Like I already said, if you do shit you're not supposed to you'll get blacklisted, it's nothing new. The affiliate and original thread opener didn't even understand that you can't view offers once you've been blacklisted from them.

As far as the internal test campaign goes, I've never heard shit about networks doing that. Maybe it's normal maybe it's not, I don't know.
