CPA Empire's Response Thread

This whole thing only works if they have it direct and not cross published.
Cross published the network affiliate ID passes as the normal aff id, and the actual affiliate id as one subid if I remember correctly. So the merchant turning up a scrub on a parent network turns up the scrub on all associated networks.

well, that sucks. That's like the advertiser assumes the traffic has to be worse on the second network then.

Out of my 3+ years of affiliate marketing; I've never heard of a network figuring out the conversation rate of an offer by running it on Adwords. It makes NO FUCKING SENSE. How the fuck can you judge how well an offer converts if your only running it on Adwords. That statement alone from Steven proves to me that he ran the campaign for his own good; not for the good of the affiliates.
Case closed.

From a merchant perspective - agreed 110%. Transparent & outright brutal.

who ever agrees w/ cpae is an idiot.. end of storay!

Lol yea people lets be honest your in FUCKING-DENIAL.com If you think otherwise

Networks scrub, shave leads all day, and obviously they will denied it to the end, anyone that does any real volume can verify this.

I think most understand this and account for it

Seems like this thread got way off topic. It wasn't about scrubbing or shaving, it was a poor excuse as to what really happened with CPAE and the affiliate who "was" claiming they screwed him over.

Scrubbing in shaving, is just a know example of what some networks are will to do for a bigger bottom line. Obviously some networks will steal your data, campaigns and whatever else it can in order to continue to raise profit margins.

cutthroat industry and i'm pretty sure all networks participate in all the above activities at some level.

i don't get it. if the lead quality was good (and judging by that landing page it should have been), then why the hell would they want to pull it just because he wasn't using their creative? They basically stole his shit. Good job cpa empire! I guess once an idea reaches a certain amount of success you reach a point where you just can't take it anymore and have to steal it. You, the advertiser, or the both of you together. Assholes.

This is the part that kills me:

So, I am supposed to be believe that Steve's team launched the campaign right after because they wanted to test out the offer's "baseline conversion rate". Out of my 3+ years of affiliate marketing; I've never heard of a network figuring out the conversation rate of an offer by running it on Adwords. It makes NO FUCKING SENSE. How the fuck can you judge how well an offer converts if your only running it on Adwords. Great point. If that really doesn't incriminate them I'm not sure what will. Especially when you have other affiliates running an offer, your telling me you didn't know what the baseline conversions where?

I smell a crock of shit.

I agree rage...I think they just got caught with their dick in the neighbours dog and that excuse above is the clean up.

The excuse is ridiculous. I am surprised that no one picked up on it earlier. It just makes no sense at all. I would expect someone with no affiliate marketing knowledge to make up such an excuse; not a network that tries to get away with such an excuse.

i realize that the poster of the original video is now getting paid off by CPAE so that this get swept under the rug, but can someone please repost the original to catch an affiliate network video? someone must have saved it.
