Dear Vegans/Vegetarians:

If you're a veggie because of the mass slaughterhouses and hormones ^ then just try eating local, organic meat. Could be hard to find in major cities but shit, if it meant i could eat meat again I'd do it.

That said, I have a sick fetish for watching Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmerman(sp?) I could never eat the shit he puts in his mouth, but damn he does eat some nasty shit and he loves it.

Someone else's culture != your culture. If people have been eating cats and dogs for hundreds of years then whats that got to do with you?

I was in Hong Kong and the food for display was amazing and frightening. I passed one restaurant in a shady area and I swear it smelled like what a dog cooking would smell like.

Never been to Korea but it is supposed to be fairly common with the older people.

I have had whale sashimi. Quite tasty, blood red, and tastes like a raw steak but more tender.

What pisses me off about vegans , is not that they are vegans...but that they look down on you for having a different diet than them.

Have you seen Man Vs Wilds? That a whole new level of bizarre food...

It is illegal to eat dog in HK. And since all you need to do is take a 20 minutes train to China, there are no black market for dog meat over there:xomunch:...

Turbolapp: Hey, don't knock it till you try it. All I'm saying is that if you drink loose leaf tea, or eat chocolate, chances are that you've already eaten a lot of crickets and cockroaches.
Seriously though, try some chocolate dipped honey ants sometime. You'll thank me in retrospect.

AdExhibitJason: Yeah I noticed that the last time I was in the import section at my supermarket. What's the deal with you guys not using real sugar? Cane grows so easily, and taste so much better. Not to mention the best by-product ever: Rum!

Beerhat: That's only the ones that do it to say they're vegans. The ones I know do it because the vegetarians that just also happen to be lactose intolerant, or because it's their religion (certain strains of Buddhist), and they're all cool with me getting a burger when we're out.

I'd like to take this opportunity to inform any vegans on this board that I just had the most delicious ribeye steak, cut right from the cow earlier today (and cooked by me of course), with a large glass of milk, buttered bread, and peas.

You guys are really missing out.

Mmmmm Ribeye. But steak and milk? Bleh!

BTW I listened to your podcasts all afternoon while I resized photos. Fun stuff (the podcast not the resizing).
