But I've been predicting something this whole season and OP seems to possibly confirm my prediction but we'll see. Hopefully you didnt ruin it for me.

Me too. Only show on TV I actually watch. Watched Californication tonight for the 1st time. Think I may DL all the seasons of it and get ready for the next. Was pretty funny.
 
I loved season 1 and season 2 was pretty good but after I watched a few episodes from season 3 it was a bit disappointing and I stopped watching.

The exact same thing happened to me with LOST so maybe it's just me losing interest :D In fact no, LOST definitely sucks hard.
 
Damn my prediction was right. Most of this season I figured they wouldn't want to limit the writing for Dexter by tying him down to a family for all seasons. So i figured the family would have to die.

Also it would add tons to future seasons. But didn't know if it would really happen because Rita has been there since season 1 i think.. and damn she's a mega-hottie. I also thought it could happen by just some breakup or something.
But a family killing would be 1000x more dramatic, etc.

Lost definitely lost it's thing once it started to do tons of time travel. I hate most movies and shows with time travel because it's done wrong most of the time and just irritating. But I usually still watch Lost.
 
I've been watching since season 1 and I too was wondering how they were going to write a season 5 with Dexter "stuck" in a family situation. Another year of him dodging Rita would have been pretty repetitive. But I never expected her to get killed off. My jaw hit the floor when that happened. I actually thought it was another dream sequence until the end credits rolled.

Unless the writers come up with something big, I can't see Dexter going to a season 7. Next year is pretty easy - he deals with the loss. But what are they going to do for season 7? After the dramatic changes to Dexter's character from seasons 1 - (upcoming) 5, I'm not sure where else he can go other than full circle and starting over again, and I don't expect many people to stick around for that.

I love Dexter and I thought this season was the best by far. But with Rita's murder, I think the show has jumped the shark. Not in the cheesy Fonzie way, but I think the show has peaked. I hope I'm wrong, though.

I hope Laguerta and that fat cuban get blown up by a car bomb or fired. They are horrible characters and worse actors.
 
the ending was fucked up ... you actually feel kinda bad when he kills trinity, then he comes back and finds rita dead and its like fuuuuuuuuuuuck ... that just happened?

definately bothered the audience like he said afterwards in the intervview
