Did you get a .ME domain name today?

I don't know why people are so surprised. All the good names were registered weeks ago before the landrush.
There are a lot that were not released too.

A list of Reserved Names has been held back for government and registry use. These names are not available for registration by the public. This list was updated on April 15, 2008.
For some reason the government wanted to reserve cocksucker.me. :xomunch:

and...
A list of Premium Names has been held back, and these names are not currently available for registration. The Registry plans to make these names available in manner(s) to be determined at a later time.
Get Your .me today! Just not any of the good ones.

I just bought :
anotherti.me and nextti.me

I don't know why. Ideas? Dating, maybe....

had no problems registering 3 .me domains with namecheap. was this with godaddy?
GoDaddy's domain availability database was out of date so people were buying domains they, and GoDaddy, thought were untaken. The other registrars had no problems (I too used namecheap and got my domain as promised)

Anybody know if the SERP algorithms consider domain extensions? Would dating.com be just as powerful as dating.me after identical SEO?

WTF? Office of the President my ass?
This still doesn't answer my question as to where the fuck my refund is. That's all I want to know at this point.
What a joke.
Office of the President Response
Dear Jon,

Your correspondence has been directed to the Office of the President.

We understand you have concerns regarding the .ME registration process. We knew the .ME Open Registration response would be tremendous, but it went beyond even what we had expected. As a result, we experienced some system issues in our communication with the registry.

As soon as we became aware of the issue we began taking steps to correct it. It is now resolved. For our customers, if we did not successfully register the domain name requested they will receive a full refund.

Thank you for your understanding. If you have any further questions, please feel free to bring these to our attention.

Regards,
Luke Hintze

The .tld does not matter. Of course, the .com is much older, with a big head start in backlinks, so that would matter.
