he founder is looking to flip the site, presumably for high 7 figures.
Few people truly understand copy writing and viral content better than Scott of ViralNova. He's been doing this for around 9 yrs now and has had multiple exits (over $5MM) all doing it solo. Great guy and helped me get a couple of my first websites up and running.
Reddit was literally designed for posting duplicate content for the most part. Also Google doesn't give a fuck about duplicate content, they care about copyrighted content. So yeah, basically.Soooo you can just steal content from Reddit without any repercussions? srs

There's still a lot of unique content on Reddit. Are you allowed to steal every photo off /r/Gonewild and make a porn site out of it?
Can you steal stock photos
I've actually seen someone comment on a girls photo in r/gonewild before, asking her what she thought of people using the images she posts on tumblr porn blogs, and she said it was flattering, she said it's only creepy when people pretend to be her on social media sites. There's still a lot of unique content on Reddit. Can you steal stock photos as long as your site allows "user submissions"? If I go purchase a stock photo from Getty images and upload it to Reddit/Imgur, Reddit can't get in trouble right? Then why can't I do some for my shitty microsite assuming I have "user submitted" pages?
Google isn't who I'd be worried about, it's content owners. Seems like one big gray area.

The worst that can happen is you get a message from one of these people telling you they want you to take it down or at least give credit, and then you give credit.
Okay well then what's the worst that can happen, assuming the content isn't copyrighted?LOL.. that's not the worst that can happen, not by a mile.

Heh, this thread inspired me to do the exact same...see you on the top.Well, I decided to take the plunge and enter into whatever you want to call this niche. Started work on this design 2 days ago, currently 9 posts in. I might change the domain if I happen to think of anything better/more catchy.
