Do you ever drink alone?

I usually start my day with a cocktail and have a few longnecks with lunch or dinner, whether or not anyone else is around. But I'm Australian so it's just for the taste.
 
I'm Irish so it is completely normal for me to drink 3 litres of beer any given night I am working on my campaigns.

two shots and a Wolverine movie by yourself isn't going to turn you into a raging alcoholic, it may however turn you into a raging homosexual.

culturally America is prehistoric. our social norms are mostly irrational and fucking stupid. two drinks a day is actually healthy for you. in 20 years you'll have a stellar lipid profile and a liver that will break down anything.

so i've read some of your recent posts. don't confuse mellow for lonely. I think in general you're seeing through a lot of bull shit in your social life/college life. That's great and all, but all you need to do is just set some boundaries, so you don't feel burned by the time suck of friends/school. Don't make it black and white, going out with idiots is healthy, just have a reason to bail if you don't want to be an idiot all night long or every weekend. If you really want to devote yourself to AM, start doing it day by day. But don't jump ship on everything you've known. A little gray area in your life is healthy. No one is burning you or taking you away from what you truly want to do, except yourself.

You're ability to handle competing priorities and challenges (friends, girlfriend, family, business, education) successfully will serve you extremely well.

Ah yes, the art of the drunken sales letter. This is my preferred state for writing sales letters. I consider it to be a far superior technique than what many guburus teach.

I'll have a glass or two of wine many evenings, no big deal. I'm not trying to get wasted, my life is too happy for that. It's more to enjoy that end of day/start of a mellow evening feel, plus it enhances the taste of the wonderful food my girlfriend cooks me and we're into trying different wines. Red wine is good for you, white wine is pretty good for you, and wines won't make you a fat and bloated bastard like beer does.
 
I drink alone all the time. Alot of my friends are in the "I'm getting married or just got married" phase of their life, which doesn't leave me a whole lot of people to hang out with anymore. So, if I feel like getting smashed, I don't see the harm in staying in and watching a movie alone.
 
It's Wickedfire, a buncha overweight computer geeks that have no friends to drink with anyways.

Of course people here drink alone, lol.

Aren't you the douchebag desperate enough to go back to college just so you could have people to party with?

People with their shit together can have a few drinks on their own. The need to be in a crowd is a sign of insecurity.
 
I dont know why people think having a drink alone is a problem? If you sit home and get completely trashed 7 nights a week alone then maybe you have a problem but until then your alright.
