I guess this is targetted more toward people who are amking a bit of money from the web, although it could be a future question for those of you that are yet to make it "big".

Do you give back at all to the community at large? Do you donate to charity? Do you volunteer for anything at all? Do you provide help and support in any charitable way?

For those yet to "make it" on the web, when you do, do you have any plans on charitable donations?

For me, I donate every once in a while to charities. However, when I start making some serious money I'll be giving away 10% of profit to charity. Eventually I want to start a mini-foundation whose sole purpose is to give to various charities and people in need.

Maybe? why only maybe?

Obviously its your choice of course, I'm curious why?
Well.. I'm younger, dont really know who I would want to give to.

And I would have to be making enough money to quit my day job and live a good life before I really started giving it up.

I feel I do enough good stuff on a day to day basis already.

*random story incoming* Just the other day I went outside and there was a duck with a broken foot at the pond near my house. Other ducks were attacking him. I felt bad... got a towel, covered him up, picked him up, took him to the animal shelter. They put him to sleep... fixed his foot and hes doing great. :D

I would if I had any money. But until then...anyone want to donate to me? PM for details on wire transfer.

So...since you saved one duck, against the will of the others (maybe he was a ducky murderer or pedophile) you no longer have to help people?

Didn't say that... said when I had the money, I'd help people. It just made me feel good... sorry I care about the good of animals. :o

Oh and just FYI... it wasn't really against the will of the others, ducks are known just to attack the weaker ducks. It just makes them feel good about themselves. He probably got attacked by something, lived... but ended up with a broken foot. So all the heathly ducks decided to use him as an ego booster.

Trust me on this one, save a duck. You'll feel better.

Red Cross. I usually give ONLY to large organizations. I felt RAPED when I read that most of the smaller charities actually only get 5 to 3% of total collections --the rest go to marketers and admin.:mad:
It's not like the red cross hasn't seen their share of that. Remember the tsunami relief funds?

I should give to charity but have not done so up to this point besides giving extra food for food drives and small stuff like that.
