Drive safe bros

Are you and gf wearing a neck collar to prevent bad consequences?
If no ask for it, it's important at least for 48 hours.

Glad you are ok.

I'm glad everyone is OK! That sounds like one close call.

I'm learning to ride a motorbike at the moment, and it's so scary being on the roads with "lunatic car drivers". So yeah, I'd echo what you say - drive safe all. If you're feeling aggressive or angry, take it out on a punch bag or something before you hit the road. Please!

Wow. You too? I had my front left tire blow out, hit the left guard rail, managed to gain control and pull over to the break down lane on the right of the highway. Driver side window airbags deployed, front left wheel/shocks/etc. completely gone, entire driver side panels messed up badly. Thank God no one was following closely behind me or in the right lane when I managed to get over. Awaiting the call from Geico to see if they'll be totalling the car or not. I hope they do just cause I don't want to worry about frame damage later on down the road.

That's also why you must get good tires. Tires that are sold with the car are always cheapest crap. To go tirerack.com and get yourself a good set with good rain ratings, and good winter tires if you live in the place where it gets below +5C (40 F).

You might not see a big difference in tires during daily driving, but the time when they make the difference is in these emergency situations when you have to break hard.

Don't have someone brake check in front of me due to another accident in front of them? Quit trolling or fuck off, cell phone wasnt involved at all.

so there was an accident in front of the car you totaled? I thought they were just break checking. Well in that case it wouldn't be break checking. And you got a ticket for following too close so it all adds up. Just be more aware on the road ok bro? Glad your ok.

I know we have some aggressive attitude people here and it can lead to aggressive driving, so going to post. Just had a really bad car accident today, people brake checking due to rain etc, car totaled, airbags deployed, rear ended a car with children. As far as we know all are ok, myself and girlfriend are ok just super sore, a seatbelt rash, girlfriend bloodied up since the airbag busted her lip pretty badly.

We got lucky. Seatbelt honestly saved us, IMO if you don't want to wear your belt that's up to you and shouldnt be a law, but you're an idiot if you don't wear it.

glad to see you are here making a post then

I've gone through something similar to this in 2004 and the seatbelt actually saved my life. I know for sure I would be dead if I hadn't fastened it.

Everyone who saw the car after the accident couldn't believe I reported only a minor scratch on a leg

I'll have to thank VolksWagen for making such a solid car (VW Golf IV, totaled but the passenger compartment was 99% ok) for the rest of my life.

Yeah, the trooper was telling me for any rear end collision they have to write a following too close ticket, but I probably was. Ticket is the least of the problem, it's only lik $70

never been in an accident, i can't even imagine how scary that is. stay good john

it's weird, I don't even remember the impact at all, or even feeling it etc

Great that everybody is ok.
I had a bad accident a few years ago and seatbelt saved my life. I wish everybody was buckled... I always tell people to buckle up when I drive - truck, suv, front seat, back - doesn't matter.

You're going to be soooooooooooooooooooooo sore tomorrow. Just be ready for it.

Glad you're okay.

On seatbelts, I personally always wear one. I feel naked in a car if I don't.

Another tip, if someone is in the backseat, it is in YOUR best interest to enforce seatbelts because it will save both your lives (definitely yours) in an accident. If you hit something, and they're not wearing one, they will likely break your neck on their way to the windshield.

Good to hear all are well. But there is one thing. You wrote:

That may be ok if you are driving alone. But if you have other people in the car you always should fasten your seatbelt. Flying around in the car yourself may injure your friends and family badly. Even if they fastened their seatbelt.

Wow.. glad you are doing all good. I ride a bike and believe me riding in my city is like playing a video game. The most dangerous thing is not a vehicle but people that I have to look while riding..

This time belts weren't enough:

Still never been in an accident thank heavens. I consider myself a pretty safe driver and always assume everyone else is going to try and kill me. It's prevented a few accidents.

Hope you are doing ok.
