Over here, if your ad CLEARLY says this "is only a picture" or "just the box", the contract is binding. (That cow tried to hide it, I guess, which would be unlawful here as well)
Still, I wonder at all those people bidding for clearly broken stuff or empty boxes. One time this guy was selling a BROKEN Pentium II chip. It had a picture showing the damage and also said in the text "A corner broke off". Still, people were bidding.
What did the buyers think? "I'll solder it back on." or "A bit of duct tape, and it is good as new." ?
The judge here was completely insane.
"I don't know this electronic stuff" to "You are an idiot" in 2 sentences?
Without even taking more than a glance at the evidence?
