Wow..She won 5k for spending 500 bucks. Not a bad return. Great investment

I was really disappointed when I found out all of those shows are not actual court cases, but just arbitration made to look like a court...and they pay both the plantiff and defendant and subtract the judgement from the defendant's payment.
 
Yep I know somebody that was in one. They pay for your flight, hotel, and losses.

Seller still has the balls to defend her position & state that the buyer knew what she was getting. "The husband of the the defendant knew better then to show up for the taping."

Stupidity = brave. At least she was smart enough to go to a nonlocal court like judge judy. Had it been local the judge would of had every right to issue arrest warrants and she would of been really really fucked (still could happen).

I love that when judge judy tells her that she's smarter than she is, and the lady is like no way and she genuinely thought nothing could be done to her just because she put in that line that says "picture."
 
While the scammer got what she deserved, I thought JJ was out of line. She lowers her self to a jerry springer show level when she starts telling people that "the only thing she likes to do is make babies" Haven't seen the show in years and years, so maybe it is at a jerry springer level anyway.
 
Over here, if your ad CLEARLY says this "is only a picture" or "just the box", the contract is binding. (That cow tried to hide it, I guess, which would be unlawful here as well)

Still, I wonder at all those people bidding for clearly broken stuff or empty boxes. One time this guy was selling a BROKEN Pentium II chip. It had a picture showing the damage and also said in the text "A corner broke off". Still, people were bidding.

What did the buyers think? "I'll solder it back on." or "A bit of duct tape, and it is good as new." ?

The judge here was completely insane.
"I don't know this electronic stuff" to "You are an idiot" in 2 sentences?
Without even taking more than a glance at the evidence?

Damn scammer got what she deserved, but would love to know if IRS and every other govt org JJ mentioned turned her life upside down.

Maybe they could do a followup show "Life after losing on JJ"
 
Grimey tactics.. but I agree with the hog.. That broad should have done a little bit better reading before she bid.
