Nothing Can Be Explained
here is how it is being spammed on /b/ and ebaumsworld... and they are falling for it....

theres an affiliate glitch happening over at this site right now . let's mess with the site and see if we can make them bankrupt by the end of the day.

Step 1. Sign up and do any survey on the members page.

Step 2. When you have to put your phone number in for the survey, the website will send you an SMS message. All you have to do is reply to the txt with "STOP" and it wont charge you anything.

Step 3. PROFIT!!

See.. what's pretty funny about this is that when you go on a hunt starting with the whois for epcash.com, you find a whole lot more than just what they are trying to actually do. I'll bet this becomes something much bigger and sinister than what it appears as right now.
 
I don't get what you are doing.. how is signing up once and then quitting making you money? Or is the scam to get tons of other people to click on your link and also sign up.. in which case how is this different than any other of said scams.
 
A regular affiliate is not behind this...

Its one of two:

1- An affiliate who came up with the original idea of fooling the /b/tards and ebaumsworld kids, planned pretty far ahead to execute it (at least April/May 2010 -- didn't advertise it until it had some 'cred' on it), but was also fortunate enough to score a network's approval (probably through aim or over the phone -- likely not email, because then it leaves the network liable for blame later when he gets caught, and they don't feel like paying him) beforehand.

OR

2- Its a network posing as an affiliate, so when they pillage the fuck outta the offer, they can point fingers and not assume any liability or blame. Since they are DELIBERATELY fucking with /b/ they have to assume there will be some kind of retribution for it, but hey, easy enough to blame on an anonymous rogue affiliate rather than a network right? (plus most networks don't fully appreciate the lulz and damage associated by a /b/tard raid, but that's their own stupid way of thinking I guess).

So uhhh... anyone bored enough to care to take a stab at uncovering this before it gets covered up by a network and/or whored out galore by the Harrison and his rat pals?

Hint: There are two networks behind it, one of them owns the offer outright. Both their names start with a "C".
 
It's an incent site. So for every survey you complete you get points. You start out with 190 or so and only need 200 to get the $20 giftcard and each survey is like 2-5 points. Right after you submit pin and everything you reply STOP right away and you won't be charge, well I know for Tmobile you won't be charged my be different for other people.
