Fluoride thread

People that are drinking distilled water incidentally are stupid. There's tons of minerals you get from drinking water that are important. At least if you're going to boycott tap water, do yourself a favour and drink bottled water.

Although saying that, bottled water contains estrogen like compounds anyway, so you're still fucked (or at least your sperm count is).

Some of these threads, I don't even... Do you even chemistry?

.

You can get your minerals from food. Besides I remineralise the distilled water before drinking.

So much shit in tap water, my whole family drinks distilled water. Once you get used to distilled water you don't wanna go back to tap or filtered water. Got some of my friends on distilled water too. Also we only use non fluoride toothpaste.

Drinking distilled water long-term is really, really bad for you.

(and if you think the above is some government-sponsored propaganda to make us all drink mind control tap water, educate yourself on osmotic potential, and semi-permeable membranes, which is what our cells are made up of)

We didn't evolve drinking distilled water. It's a very unnatural thing to do.

You need to re-add minerals back into it afterwards before it's fit for human consumption. I'm sure you can get packs of them on one of those organic hippie yoghurt-weaving websites somewhere.

(FWIW, I drink bottled mineral water, because London tap water tastes like shit. Yeah, I'm probably giving myself plastic poisoning, but whatever)

Are you really trying to convince me that 99.9% pure distilled water is somehow bad for me? You only get about 2% of your minerals from drinking water, most of it comes from food. How dumb and misinformed are you?

Yes, I am trying to convince you that, as amateursurgeon rightly summarised below.

Drinking lots of water with zero minerals fucks up the water potential throughout your body. This leads to salts rapidly leaving your blood, etc to balance things out. This is not good for you. I'll even make it easy for you:

The possible health consequences of low mineral content water consumption are discussed in the following categories:
• Direct effects on the intestinal mucous membrane, metabolism and mineral
homeostasis or other body functions.
• Practically zero calcium and magnesium intake.
• Low intake of other essential elements and microelements.
• Loss of calcium, magnesium and other essential elements in prepared food.
• Possible increased dietary intake of toxic metals leached from water pipe.
• Possible bacterial re-growth.

Since the early 1960’s, epidemiological studies in many countries all over the world have reported that soft water (i.e., water low in calcium and magnesium) and water low in magnesium is associated with increased morbidity and mortality from cardiovascular disease (CVD) compared to hard water and water high in magnesium

Recent studies also suggest that the intake of soft water, i.e. water low in calcium, may be associated with higher risk of fracture in children (Verd Vallespir et al. 1992), certain neurodegenerative diseases (Jacqmin et al. 1994), pre-term birth and low weight at birth (Yang et al. 2002) and some types of cancer (Yang et al. 1997; Yang et al. 1998). In addition to an increased risk of sudden death (Eisenberg 1992; Bernardi et al. 1995; Garzon and Eisenberg 1998), the intake of water low in magnesium seems to be associated with a higher risk of motor neuronal disease (Iwami et al. 1994), pregnancy disorders (so-called preeclampsia) (Melles & Kiss 1992), and some types of cancer (Yang et al. 1999a; Yang et al. 1999b; Yang et al. 1999c; Yang et al. 2000).

The importance of water calcium was also confirmed in a one-year study of rats on a fully adequate diet in terms of nutrients and salts and given desalinated water with added dissolved solids of 400 mg/l and either 5 mg/l, 25 mg/l, or 50 mg/l of calcium (WHO 1980; Rakhmanin et al. 1976). The animals given water dosed with 5 mg/l of calcium exhibited a reduction in thyroidal and other associated functions compared to the animals given the two higher doses of calcium.

Lutai (1992) conducted a large cohort epidemiological study in the Ust-Ilim
region of Russia. The study focused on morbidity and physical development in
7658 adults, 562 children and 1582 pregnant women and their newborns in two areas supplied with water different in TDS. One of these areas was supplied with water lower in minerals (mean values: TDS 134 mg/l, calcium 18.7 mg/l, magnesium 4.9 mg/l, bicarbonates 86.4 mg/l) and the other was supplied with water higher in minerals (mean values: TDS 385 mg/l, calcium 29.5 mg/l, magnesium 8.3 mg/l, bicarbonates 243.7 mg/l). Water levels of ulphate, chloride, sodium, potassium, copper, zinc, manganese and molybdenum were also determined. The populations of the two areas did not differ from each other in eating habits, air quality, social conditions and time of residence in the respective areas. The population of the area supplied with water lower in minerals showed higher incidence rates of goiter, hypertension, ischemic heart disease, gastric and duodenal ulcers, chronic gastritis, cholecystitis and nephritis.

The science is certainly completely against people drinking distilled water in terms of affects on their long term health.

Explain why people that don't brush their teeth never get cavities if having fluoride is the only reason your teeth don't turn black and fall out. You're hilarious dude.

Because it's in drinking water?

Let me guess, you're fine with drinking Chlorine too?

Yeah, it means that there's less likely to be some kind of super bacteria in it that will kill me.

Distilled water is a breeding ground for bacteria, and I'd rather consume trace levels of chlorine than get MRSA.

How do you suppose we distribute water to masses of people without these additives? They're all designed to stop water from corroding pipes, spread disease, etc, and they work. People today live longer than they've ever lived before, and a big part of that is due to cleaner water supplies and these "evil chemicals" that are put in water. Look at any 3rd world country and look at how many people die because their water isn't treated like ours is.

Glad to see a few knowledgeable & conscious people on here who are wide awake about some of the extremely corrupt issues happening here on Planet Earth & it's inhabitants. Sad, how the general masses of sheep don't notice. There is a real _____ & hidden / silent agenda of deliberately dumbing down of people to enslave humanity & keep them passive. A real diversion from the bigger issues & bigger picture. One way is putting in dangerous & harmful chemicals in everyday products. Ingredients & Corrupt stuff include :

- High fructose corn syrup, Aspertame, Arsenic, etc (unbelievable how big evil corporations get away with this & their products to the masses, plus it's also disguised under many other names), UCLA Study : Check out this interesting 2012 experiment done on rats & the shocking results.

- Monosodium Glutamate (Fun fact : Not only in chinese food but a lot more common than people think. Chick Fil A is suppose to be super religious christian company who does only good, but they poison the masses with MSG, an excitoxin, and has Anti-foaming chemicals, high fructose corn syrup, etc). KFC does it too. Google it for proof & evidence. The truth is scary alright. They too, are big offenders along with the rest of the big, evil corporate fast food chains adding harmful additives to the food for the sake of making $ and trying to keep customers coming back for more.

- Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) & Monsanto. (Fun fact : One of Whole Foods, the suppose mostly organic grocery store, has GMO's and the place isn't as healthy as it seems. Only thing Monsanto cares about is $$$ & PROFIT. Sad, they have a lot of power, funding, and stopped Prop 37 from passing, easily) (Fun fact #2 : Chipotle's beans are only 40% organic and contain GMO. If you wanted an pure 100% organic burrito at Chipotle, it'd probably be over $10-$15! Their food isn't even as healthy as people think and has ridiculous high amounts of sodium.)

- Vaccines. A lot more bad ones then good ones out there. Contains ingredients like Aluminum, Antibiotics, Formaldehyde, Monosodium Glutamate (MSG), Thimerosal, Mercury, etc. Doctors say it's good for you and not to worry ! /sarcasm. Known to cause damage in the long run. Autism rates have skyrocketed over the recent years. Doctors, psychiatrists, big pharma, etc pushes them hard because they want to make sales and extract lots of $$$ from people.

- Prescription drugs - A doctor or psychiatrist will rarely ever say no. The goal is to always write a script, and makes sales. Sometimes includes lying & misdiagnosing. Prescription drugs : The ultimate residual passive income :p & monthly repeat, loyal customers. What evil geniuses ! Everybody knows Medical marijuana cards are a piece of cake to get. Can lie & make up great excuses like backpain & insomnia. Pretty insane how wildy popular Oxycontin, Antidepressants, & ADHD drugs are too. I personally enjoy amphetamines & Vyvanse once in rare while, in moderation, for studying / work purposes.

- Etc. The list goes on. No conspiracy theories here, just all shocking FACTS. Proof & Evidence is just researches away. Books, internet, & search engines. Stay awake, be educated, and informed.

Drifting off. Back on the fluoride topic : Known all this fluoride stuff already for awhile. Plus It's general knowledge, Adolf Hitler put fluoride into the water supply to control the jews, to keep them weak, toxic sedated, passive, and easily controllable. Lukep, do you use a water purifer machine that gets helps get rid of most or all fluoride. What do you recommend? I want to buy one eventually, but they're crazy expensive. Huge health enthusiast, vitamins / supplements, organic, and juicer person here.

You can remineralize the distilled water by squirting a shot of your piss in there. This way, you can be putting back in some of the important stuff you lost. Bear Grylls did it, so you know it is legit.

I don't understand how people can conclude that fluoridation is not a conspiracy. Especially people who are against overarching corporate and government power. Fluoride is a well recognized potent neurotoxin produced by war profiteers and legally mandated as compulsive medication for mass delivery to millions of people. Seriously how does that not settle the question right there.

It's basically the same mentality that makes it acceptable and often recommended by doctors to pump the body full of toxic chemicals to kill cancer cells. They know it makes you sick, but the body can generally recover if the cancer hasn't progressed too far.

The microbes that live in the teeth don't directly cause tooth decay, nor does eating a lot of sugar. The acids created by the microbes breaking down the sugar is what generally starts the cycle that causes tooth decay. Since they thrive in acidic environments, they are difficult to kill, but fluoride ion is something we've found that temporarily fucks up their party.

Baking soda works too, but you can taste it in the water. We just simply don't have a suitable alternative that can be implemented without massive changes to the water treatment facilities. They're not going to change it voluntarily, just like they are not secure their networks until something bad happens. Just like most people are not going to cut sugar and starch out of their diets when it's so readily available.

The last two links aren't direct to studies, but "nufluoride.com or fluoridealert.org" - agenda much? Where are the studies proving that fluoride in the levels it's present in water are harmful? The first link doesn't say anything, other than that it's a neurotoxin at some dose.

Just because something is toxic at high doses doesn't mean it's not beneficial at low doses.

You can kill yourself by consuming tons of potassium you know, or a ton of other things in food/drink.

Can someone explain why the government gives a fuck about how pretty our teeth are? I mean, if that's the official reason for why they add it, I'm just curious to know why they care. It's not a public health issue, and if municipalities are in control of the fluoridation and can opt out of it like Albuquerque, then...I'm missing something right?

Poor oral hygiene can lead to lots of other problems for example heart disease.
