The government loves you man. They're like a loving second family. They only want to gently guide you to a better life. Although they've never met you, rest assured, your wellbeing is on every public employees mind.
You'll find, at least with the political threads here and a few other conspiracy-area topics, that WF has some of the most knowledgeable & open-minded folks on the web.... This thread not withstanding.
I have drank bottled water for a long time, for at least the last 3 years I lived in the US, (Aquafina) and now of course I use it in Bangkok because the water here sucks shit and every Thai with two baht to rub together does too.
I've been an apartment dweller for years because I feel home ownership is a racket, but if I had a home I'd buy this:
Tap Master Artesian Full Contact Remineralizing Reverse Osmosis Under Counter Water Filtration System-TMAFC at The Home Depot -It re-mineralizes after doing a very good job of stripping everything out of any tap water.
As for bottled waters, perhaps that deserves a thread of it's own but after lots of research on the subject I settled on just 3 brands:
- Aquafina
- Fiji
- Nestle's Pure Life*
*However there is a ton of people who are pissed about this one, so I figure it's not going to be there much longer.
To wash anything, especially my face, I try to use Distilled when I can, but that's not as important as what goes in you. Walmart had some great distilled water for 0.88/Gal if I remember correctly.

I knew I could count on WF to get lots of opinions on both sides of this matter. Clearly Jryan21 has a good point that industry is going to indus, but it also seems clear to me that in over 50 years someone most definitely would have raised a flag on this kind of threat before Albequerque... So there is clearly something or some group working against them besides mere industry.
The amount of proof against fluoride is staggering... The paper linked in the OP was a freaking Harvard study, for crying out loud; one of over 2 dozen human trials, all showing human brain retardation.

No one. Fluoridation is often fought against in the political world, so clearly, to stay put, it is actively being fought for folks. Plain and simple.
Glad to see a few knowledgeable & conscious people on here who are wide awake about some of the extremely corrupt issues happening here on Planet Earth & it's inhabitants. Sad, how the general masses of sheep don't notice. There is a real _____ & hidden / silent agenda of deliberately dumbing down of people to enslave humanity & keep them passive. A real diversion from the bigger issues & bigger picture. One way is putting in dangerous & harmful chemicals in everyday products. Ingredients & Corrupt stuff include :
- High fructose corn syrup, Aspertame, Arsenic, etc (unbelievable how big evil corporations get away with this & their products to the masses, plus it's also disguised under many other names), UCLA Study : Check out this interesting 2012 experiment done on rats & the shocking results.
- Monosodium Glutamate (Fun fact : Not only in chinese food but a lot more common than people think. Chick Fil A is suppose to be super religious christian company who does only good, but they poison the masses with MSG, an excitoxin, and has Anti-foaming chemicals, high fructose corn syrup, etc). KFC does it too. Google it for proof & evidence. The truth is scary alright. They too, are big offenders along with the rest of the big, evil corporate fast food chains adding harmful additives to the food for the sake of making $ and trying to keep customers coming back for more.
- Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) & Monsanto. (Fun fact : One of Whole Foods, the suppose mostly organic grocery store, has GMO's and the place isn't as healthy as it seems. Only thing Monsanto cares about is $$$ & PROFIT. Sad, they have a lot of power, funding, and stopped Prop 37 from passing, easily) (Fun fact #2 : Chipotle's beans are only 40% organic and contain GMO. If you wanted an pure 100% organic burrito at Chipotle, it'd probably be over $10-$15! Their food isn't even as healthy as people think and has ridiculous high amounts of sodium.)
- Vaccines. A lot more bad ones then good ones out there. Contains ingredients like Aluminum, Antibiotics, Formaldehyde, Monosodium Glutamate (MSG), Thimerosal, Mercury, etc. Doctors say it's good for you and not to worry ! /sarcasm. Known to cause damage in the long run. Autism rates have skyrocketed over the recent years. Doctors, psychiatrists, big pharma, etc pushes them hard because they want to make sales and extract lots of $$$ from people.
- Prescription drugs - A doctor or psychiatrist will rarely ever say no. The goal is to always write a script, and makes sales. Sometimes includes lying & misdiagnosing. Prescription drugs : The ultimate residual passive income& monthly repeat, loyal customers. What evil geniuses ! Everybody knows Medical marijuana cards are a piece of cake to get. Can lie & make up great excuses like backpain & insomnia. Pretty insane how wildy popular Oxycontin, Antidepressants, & ADHD drugs are too. I personally enjoy amphetamines & Vyvanse once in rare while, in moderation, for studying / work purposes.
- Etc. The list goes on. No conspiracy theories here, just all shocking FACTS. Proof & Evidence is just researches away. Books, internet, & search engines. Stay awake, be educated, and informed.
Drifting off. Back on the fluoride topic : Known all this fluoride stuff already for awhile. Plus It's general knowledge, Adolf Hitler put fluoride into the water supply to control the jews, to keep them weak, toxic sedated, passive, and easily controllable. Lukep, do you use a water purifer machine that gets helps get rid of most or all fluoride. What do you recommend? I want to buy one eventually, but they're crazy expensive. Huge health enthusiast, vitamins / supplements, organic, and juicer person here.

Well of course they have agendas. That doesn't invalidate the information to be gleaned from them.
Fluoride collects in the body over time, it particularly likes accumulating in the brain as it is capable of crossing the blood brain barrier. This is pretty well known. That's just one example. If you're really interested there's plenty more to consider.
Yeah but we're talking about fluoride, a hardcore toxin, like on the level of arsenic and lead. Quite different from potassium.
I'm going to go ahead and skip putting low levels of neurotoxins into my body indefinitely for decades. Just seems like a good thing to do.

I could go on, but it is not worth my time arguing because most conspiracy theorists lead with dogma and therefore can't be reasoned with. There must be a conspiracy theory in everything. The problem with this is when they finally do find a real conspiracy nobody takes them seriously because it's the boy who cried wolf.
Everyone is so worried about fluoride, but completely ignores all of the dihydrogen monoxide in our water supply. It can kill you in less than 24 hours if ingested wrong. Now think about what happens if they fuck up at the water treatment plant.

There is also no fluoridated water in Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and Switzerland.
