I have to agree with you John, because I am young to and once I started to make a bit of money online I got real lazy in life and it all went down hill. I now have a job offline and I can see at the same time I am doing better online because I am better motivated and have more initiative.

I'm taking a break from IM and web stuff in general so I can graduate from college by end of this month. I'm also applying for full-time job at few places that I'm interested in.

Like some people said, I think it's good to gain experience in the "real" world. I'll get back to IM stuff once I'm settled.

That's kinda true - the one thing I really miss about a 'real job' is the social aspect of it. Much as I love you guys it's not the same as going for a beer at lunchtime with workmates!

I work 7-3 as an programmer in a huge fortune 500 tech company. Cube life sucks. I'm hoping to go freelance in the next six months because after four years, I cannot handle it anymore.

The divider in my cube is actually gone and I sit back to back to another cube, in the 4 months ive worked here, ive only talked to him 3 times.

Fuck those bitches. I swear to god, I applied to fucking 2 god damn jobs (all food service (busboy)). I fucking wait 2 hours for one of them while taking a test and applying, and they tell me they'll call me back the next day. Haven't heard shit from them. Next job I fucking apply, then sit and wait for 1 hour to get an interview. The stupid fucks finally realize that nobody is there to interview me, so they tell me to come back tomorrow. I come back and wait another fucking hour, and then they decide that they are full (even though they have a fucking "Now Hiring All Positions!" sign right outside their door). Fuck applying for a third, all of this miss-managed bullshit pisses me off.

Use all that frustation as motivation to start making some $$ online. Kids are soooo lucky today. There are a TON of online opportunities available to you. When I was your age I HAD to get a 'real job' as the internet was not around yet (first job was actually a busboy... yep, it SUCKED!)
