I've read posts like this http://www.wickedfire.com/affiliate-marketing/34991-adwords-suspended.html, and this http://www.wickedfire.com/affiliate-marketing/39869-amit-mehta-google-gave-me-middle-finger.html, and this http://www.wickedfire.com/affiliate...ds-how-many-slaps-how-many-ad-rejections.html.

It sucks balls when I have been raising a decent budget to start with PPC, and now Google seems more ban happy than slap happy.

I just want to know if, by running legitimate offers through reputable networks (I have my eyes set on neverblue, copeac, and ads4dough), what the chances of a ban are? It seems like G throws fucking darts at a wall most of the time.

So, are the chances 50/50, or is it not a big deal as it seems? I've read the T&C, the adwords guidelines...GAH, I hope this antitrust suit goes through.

truthfully, its not really worth worrying about until you are banned. If you're banned, you can either rebuild, fixing the things google doesn't like, or you can just get a new account and reupload everything with adwords editor and a new domain and you're good to go.

and actually I wouldn't ever really worry about being "banned". Typically the worst thing that will happen to you is having a domain slapped or getting warnings. I've gotten LOTS of these so called last warnings from google and never had any problems as long as I didn't continue breaking the rules over and over on the same exact campaigns and ads.

Most probably deserve to be banned

Not to say everyone because I'm sure some get banned that shouldn't, but overall the ones I've seen complaining for being banned are the same guys that last week were bragging about the newest way they had found to game the system. When will people learn that if you feel the need to do blackhat stuff, keep it to yourself. There are people that troll the forums just looking to catch competitors admitting crap like that so they can be the one to report it to Google. Of course, some just plain get caught but there are a lot of people who feel the need to report anything they see.

In good ol' G's eyes, (he/she) is just trying to keep the quality of the engine up.

You might be doing things correctly, but... there are tons of people out there looking to get over on the system. Sadly, others have to pay for their mistakes / abuse.

Its the name of the game.

Good luck.

Thanks everyone,

I guess that I just got caught up in the alarmism regarding the account bans. Not to say that it won't happen, but I think that a thorough read of G's guidelines, a decent AM to point me in the direction of tested (legit) offers, and overall playing by the rules, I'll be fine. It's absolutely fucktarded to think you can fool Adwords, honestly.
