I was getting those auto warranty calls too. Annoying as hell but, luckily, I haven't received one in about a week. (I know I'm going to regret saying that.)
Are they instructed on what to do if the customer asks to call them back later to buy? (if you know)My roommate actually works at a call center that does this exact offer and they are defiantly not legal. The numbers are from anywhere they can get there is no scrubbing with the do not call list or anything of the sort. You get a phone call that says push 1 to be removed and push 2 to talk to a sales person and both of the numbers just send you to a sales person. He says they will call the same number from 3 different area codes in one day often enough. The employees are instructed not to give out the company info but told to lie and just say the company name is "Warranty Services" and not to give any info beyond that.

Wow these guys run a pretty bulletproof operation.Just asked him, only have to yell since he is sitting 30 ft away, he says the they just tell them they can't do that it's an outbound call center and don't have a number to give away.
Been getting these calls too, I never answer them and it seems like they are tapering off pretty well.
