I don't do automated account creation or anything like that, but for what I do, I find myself needing to manually create gmail accounts fairly regularly.

In the past few months, it has been impossible to get the captcha right the first or second time. Only on the third try will it let me create the account, no matter how accurate the first two entries were.

And now, as of last week, I have to make FOUR attempts before it will let me create the account.

I saw someone say in another thread that they heard this might be happening if your IP is being "watched" by google.

Has anyone else heard anything about this?

Hahaha, I admit I considered that after the first 3 or 4 times. But 50+ accounts later...I refuse to believe I'm that retarded!

I faced that problem too, just for trying to make 15 new accounts. Mine is static IP, Yours also static?

yeah, i'm using a static ip. the inconvenience isn't that big of a deal to me, i'm just wondering what i did to get the attention of google. maybe it just automatically does that to any ip that generates a certain number of accounts.

I hear ya on the captcha problems. It's annoying, the other day I had this captcha and had to save it.

No that third character wasn't a T.

Yeah, I've had the same problem for a while. If you get the captcha wrong, it will actually tell you you've done it wrong. If not, it just makes you retype for whatever reason.

I changed my IP address yesterday (by accident, playing with router settings and having to restart everything) and I still have to re-enter continuously. Glad to know I'm not the only one.

It's definitely forcing CAPTCHA 3 or more times now.

I use a script and just keep hammering away. Of course I am also using proxies...

You know, thinking that everyone is laughing at you, or that every whisperer is talking about you is called psychosis.

Now people, please stop talking about me. STOP LAUGHING AT ME! AHHHH! :ticking:

You must have one of those old keyboards. Get a new one and hit ALT+shroom

LOL!

Well, glad to hear I'm not the only one that Gmail is toying with. I think if they're going to implement a minimum of three captchas (created an account last night and had to enter 5, but then again that was after a few beers), they should at least be honest with it on the site and be like "okay, two more captchas to go!" or something.
