Google Adsense leak from previous employee

I don't know about all those other colors but I know Google white listed servers for huge publisher networks back in the 1st Panda rollouts.

Hi Matt!!!!

Its bull, anyone who's actual done volume with mass adsense accounts can agree that while the real truth may well be just as Orwellian, they do things based on reviews flagged by daily limits, or at least did so a year ago. Someones making stuff up, how ever that doesnt mean reality isnt damn close to this.

Well, it does indeed sound like a butthurt publisher (no not me!) but the adsense team responded to that article and said:

When we discover violations of these policies, we take quick action, which in some cases includes disabling the publisher’s account and refunding affected advertisers.

So... Any of you adwords hotshots EVER receive a refund for publisher site ads?

Yeah, if you look in the adwords billing section you should be able to see it if they detected it. They call it like click fraud adjustment or invalid clicks or something like that.

For me it was just a couple of times and like a few dollars.

Pretty sure that a load of BS and PR bit.
The few sites I know of that were banned didn't receive any refunds.

I call bullshit, and a disgruntled employee pissed off he got fired for being an ass and/or idiot.

Google going around and banning their largest publisher accounts without reason or investigation would be pretty counter-productive. Not to mention, I would imagine we would have heard about it elsewhere than bloody pastebin.com.

I agree, they collect 32% of the clicks, kicking large publishers out would result in less revenue. On top of the data they collect.

They fucked me about 3 years ago, with some bullshit click fraud deal. It was only 1K bucks or so, but they kept it. There was no click fraud and I guarantee they didn't give that money back.

I wrote them an email telling them to go fuck themselves and never looked back! Will never do anything that contributes to them making money again. No PPC, no adsense, no nothing!

Googs you are dead to me!

I will SPAM the fuck out of them though!

As much as I hate Google for being a fucking monopoly and being assholes and treating their advertisers and publishers as its red headed stepchilden, I have to say just reads like a disgruntled person who feels "wronged" by Google and wants to stir the pot and cause a shit-storm. And boy, has there ever been a need for one.

Google is a huge money minting machine. It does almost 7 million dollars every hour in revenue, has more information about you and me, second to the Government and has no competitor in sight.

Anyway, Google's policy about banning for any or no reason/explanation has seemed outrageous from the get-go and the banned pubs often get really pissed off because it seems like Google just stole their money. And I can't blame them - who's there there to audit Google and check that every dollar withheld from the publisher due to violation of Google policy is returned back to the advertisers?

A lot of times (especially on the display network) I'm not even sure how/if non-Adwords customers get a refund. Say you buy ads on Google AdX via a DSP - have you ever been refunded a single cent for the % of impressions that were supposedly from the banned publisher?

Remember, Google withholds the ENTIRE amount of the banned pub, not just the amount that's suspected as fraudulent. But has anyone ever considered what happens to the revenue of the banned pub that was, even by Google's admission, legitimate?
