Google - Disavow Links

Here's how I look at it, if you legitimately want to use the disavow tool for a site that you own, it's probably already been hammered by Penguin or an unnatural links notice or both. Which means, sending in a list of your shitty, spammy ass links to Google ain't going to be breaking news to them. It's not like they're going to look at your crappy little list of blog comments & old directories and say "Well Penguin nailed this spammer, but now that he's admitted to link spamming, let's go after his wife and children". In my case, I have sites that lost EVERY SINGLE keyword. They can't kill me twice, so for those sites, I've got nothing to lose. I'll disavow every fucking link to those sites and start over clean.

So, let me get this straight:

1. Do a back links report on your competitor
2. Submit websites with those URLs to Google
3. ???
4. Profit

"We want to reiterate that most people do not need to use this tool.
If you're an average mom and pop and doing normal sort of things,
not doing any special aggressive SEO, with all kinds of all weird networks
or stuff like that this is NOT the tool you'll want to use in these circumstances.
Under NORMAL circumstances you should not use this."

So, it's clearly intended for SEO's and, as efeezy said, at guys who were hit by Penguin and / or unnatural linking notice.
Why would Google want to help the guys who did aggressive SEO, as he puts it, by creating a tool for them ?
You would have to upload the text via GWT, so that automatically means registering your site with them. Is that what they're after ? We give you the option to disavow your shitty links but the only way of using it is to register your site with GWT.
If all SEO's did that, Google would know what SEO's consider a GOOD link versus a BAD link, by looking at the links you want to keep pointing at your site.
After that, it will only be a matter of time untill they create a Turtle Update with the new links in mind. Just saying...

This is probably just the next step in their master plan. First, kick off negative seo so people start hammering each other with spammy links. Then, implement tool that helps them footprint spammy links. You also have the "trusting" souls who will self-report their own spam, in some kind of Stockholm syndrome belief that Google's their friend. Brilliant. Kind of like how colonial powers like to get the natives killing each other for them, then swoop in and grab the goodies.

In lighter news, I was happy to find I can now watch a Matt Cutts' video without wanting to stab him in the face with a broken wine bottle. I feel this is an important step in my personal growth.
