Honest opinions please...

So your "friend" basically took shitty elevator music and added a beat or two to it? How is that house music?

Screw the "friend", I'm much more curious to find out if the experts in the field who gave those rave reviews in the beginning of the video went deaf long ago, or if they even exist as real people??

I don't even know if those reviews are real, I'd have to ask him. Bit of black hat never hurt anyone though eh :)

Your friend needs to learn a few things from the master:

That is one strange combination of video, vocals, music, and beat.

The video and vocals match like American Bandstand or a K-Tel commercial and the beat is, well, rushed - just does not fit. These have to be white guys laying down the beat - like EW&F with a cheap $10 synthesizer from 1989 with "auto-beat".

Work on the beat.
 
Listening to that gave me a strong urge to get a cafe latte from Starbucks and watch gay porn.
