How many hours a week do you work?

Interesting thread, nice to see the mix of solopreneur vs. entrepreneur around WF.

For me, I'd say that most weeks I get in about 70 hours of total work, which includes multiple business ventures. I aim to spend no fewer than 50 hours a week on my content marketing shop, which is my main business.

I love what I do and while it's stressful at times, it's also motivating and fun. If it was wiping me out every day I would work less to maintain a balance.

I do the same thing at work I do when I'm home, so I guess I always work...

But 8 hours a day I work for someone else, the rest I work for myself.

Likewise...they intertwine and improve my abilities in both roles. A/B testing/analysis at BBY by day and passive income via online marketing by night.

I am two gear man:

Things are not going well : 60+ hours
Things are going well : 20 Hours

This seems to create a cycle though, of things doing well, then falling off into not doing well. I feel like if I just worked a steady 45 I probably wouldn t have these cycles. But, meh, I like my life as is. Isn't that whats important ?

Your question is probably better framed as, "How many productive hours do you work?"

I typically work 7 days a week but only work for 4-6 hours per day. Sometimes I put in 8+ hour days but the last few hours are shitty in terms of productivity, so I will grind out things I find more entertaining on my to-do list.

When I wake up I'm working with the most focus and energy I'll have for the rest of the day, so I try use it wisely. You really have to get into the habit of managing your own energy, clocking in hours means very little.
