@OP I threw away my juicer for that reason. It's not worth it unless you use the pulp in other recipes, like making your own energy bars or some shit. That takes forever, so if you value your time the price is closer to $15 or 20 for a cup of healthy juice.
In terms of efficiency and taste, the magic bullet still rains supreme. To answer your question, I spend $100-110 on groceries split between 4 trips. I live around the corner from Aldi, which has the cheapest produce of any grocery store in Chicago sans one (Stanley's), but the produce is reliable.
$25 goes a looong way at Aldi. You're nuts for spending $700.
