I think it's time to quit my job.

Cut down on your expense.

If your wife complains, dump her ass and live in your van. (or SUV. Think about it, you'll be a balling hobo)

Thanks...I always thought that was a cool line.

My wife's had my back on this the entire time. She still thinks it's crazy that I'm making nearly $10k a month while working my full time job, but she was actually the one who said "just quit" today when I told her that shit was getting all mixed up at work. She makes good money too, so that helps.

They wouldn't give me any notice if I got fired..and I don't feel like dealing with the attitude that comes along with everyone knowing you'll be gone in a week.

I'm ready to make the leap and start concentrating on making some big progress in my AM earnings. Here goes nothin.

Hey, if it's not too painful maybe stay on another week or so. If you get fired you'll have available a whole range of benfits that you won't have if you walk out.

You've been there a while, so 3 - 12 months severance would be a nice perq as you start your jobless venture.

Whatever you decide, best wishes to you.

Yeah I work for a Chrysler dealer...so severance ain't in the cards I'm afraid. A "Get the Fuck Out" will be more likely.

efeezy - fuckine' broseph! Way to go. You made the right choice. Never look back. Fuck Corp America in the ass. You can totally do this, no problem. You got your game on lock.

get money get paid!

You sure? There are some laws in place that might require that they do otherwise.

Edit: Yeah Ok. I just looked up the severance fund issues for Chrysler.

The Detroit News is reporting that salaried Chrysler workers who were laid off in the restructuring before the company filed for bankruptcy protection have lost their severance pay. Workers who accepted lump-sum buyouts are not affected.

Chrysler spokesman Mike Palese said the money allocated for severance payments is considered part of the company’s assets and therefore must be paid to creditors.

I'm wondering how this would affect you now that it's after the restructuring.

Unfortunately I'm commissioned sales, so I don't even get a base salary. If I'm not selling cars, I'm not making a paycheck. And sometimes when I am selling cars, I'm still not making a paycheck.

You making 10K a month already, next to your work?

Get the fuck outta there and work AM full time, yer gonna kill.

You know, for those who say you can't AM forever.
Soak up this quote from one of the most recognized men on television EVER!

RIP Billy Mays. Heaven just got a whole lot cleaner!

Many people say you can't do AM forever. Keep that in mind.

Many of those same people are under 25 and have been in this industry for less than 24 months, and for the most part have no idea what the fuck they're talking about. There are also already way too many networks, but this has been true since - oh about 2005.

There's A LOT more online than berries and rebills, ebay partner network and local directory 'authority sites.'

Look at some of the top debt/financial portals, I'll tell you personally knowing some of those guys firsthand the ridiculous money that can be made. Or what about the mesothelioma space? Some of the people who jumped into that years ago were smart enough to actually form small law firms then essentially sign/book the cases <insert the correct legal term> and turn them over <functionally sell them off for % of settlement> to huge legal powerhouses while generating their own leads. Uh, hello millions.

Sure this is a lot more involved than simply ripping off a landing page that likely hasn't even been appropriately split tested anyway and buying some adwords clicks, however when there's a will there's a way. I quit my (very good) job when my wife was pregnant, failure wasn't an option.

Puts "baller status" as I hear it thrown around on here in the aff world to shame. You know- like having a full time driver on the payroll.

To quote Jigga:

I did it. Yesterday was my last day in the car business. It was nerve racking all day waiting to tell my partner/boss that I had decided to move on, but he understood. We've worked together for almost 14 years now and he's a lifer in the car business. He's 50 and I'm 34, so he's been doing this for about 28 years and it's all he knows.

And while I still feel a little bad, like I abandoned him, I know I did the right thing..and he wished me well.

So that's that. I'm on my own...it feels great. And you want to know what I'm looking forward to the most??? Wearing shorts to the office everyday.

I just moved into a new condo (Springfield, MO) and my brother decided to move in with me. The rent is $620/month and I pay $275 (gave him the bigger bedroom). The bedroom I have now is about as big as the studio apartment I lived in before this... anyway, this is what I have in bills (just personal, not business):

Rent - $275
Internet -$0 Included with condo
Cable - $0 Included with condo
Electric - $30
Car Insurance - $14
Gas - $15 (I drive less than 3,000 miles a year)
Phone - $0 (I use Google Voice w/ Gizmo5 and a Google G1 with Sipdroid)
Food - $150-$250 (I'm not really frugal with food, just buy what I want)

And live in a van? No way. I'd live in my hammock (not me but same hammock).

Shit, my electric bill is almost as much as all your bills put together!

florida sucks...
