Yeah, regardless of what you hear on TV Infomercials, there really aren't many ways to make a legitimate "quick buck" online. Even if you do know a way to make a lot of money quickly, most ad networks pay on a NET 30 or NET 15 - so you'd still have to wait several weeks to get paid.
Moral of the story is: hit up monster.com, craigslist, and your local paper's employment section. That, and ask all your friends and family if they know any jobs available.
Once you get yourself back on your feet - THEN start an internet business on the side. Dedicate an hour or two each day to your endeavor. If you get some good action, you can expand that hobby and eventually make it your 9-5.
